YGGDRASIL II

Since it is lacking visuals, this article requires an image for the first time, the kind which should be high quality and distinguishable. YGGDRASIL II is a term made about the non-existent sequel to its predecessor, YGGDRASIL.

Chronology

The Undead King Arc

During the last day of YGGDRASIL before its shutdown, Herohero logs in to the game one final time to say goodbye to Momonga. While so, Herohero noted how other guild members including himself in the past had fun playing the game is thanks to the fact that Momonga was their guild master. After appreciating everything his friend had done to maintain the Great Tomb of Nazarick all this time, Herohero has even told Momonga that he hopes someday when they meet again, it will be in YGGDRASIL II. Likewise, Momonga shared the same sentiment as Herohero, feeling glad that is the best way for them to meet again.

Upon waking up to find himself still believed to be online in his character avatar, the first thing that came to Momonga's mind was that this was likely a new DMMO-RPG. That was to say, the moment YGGDRASIL had shut down, a new game, "YGGDRASIL II," had immediately taken its place was what he had initially thought until he conducted his light experiment with the NPC, Albedo. Learning that one of the NPCs is sentient, he came to the realization this was not a game, but an entirely New World in and of itself different from YGGDRASIL.

To back up his claim, he made it evident that R-18 actions were strictly forbidden in the game. Momonga knows that if he was still in a game world as YGGDRASIL, the company would have made it nigh impossible for players like him to grope an NPC's tits. At the same time, if the GMs and the game companies were watching what he had done to Albedo, they would have prevented him from committing lewd actions on the Overseer. However, since he was not receiving any sign of resistance or opposition from them, Momonga deduced the fact that he is no longer inside the world of YGGDRASIL but a real world.

Under the assumption that a game company does get caught by the police for cyber-kidnapping a player, Momonga believes they would say something along the line like, "this was a closed beta test for YGGDRASIL II" to warrant their action.

Trivia

• According to Momonga, he has yet to hear any news about there being a successor for the DMMO-RPG, YGGDRASIL.
• When Suzuki Satoru got transferred to the New World after YGGDRASIL shut down, he was left utterly confused and questions whether or not YGGDRASIL II has started.
• In Overlord: The Undead Oh!, the members of Ainz Ooal Gown hoped that a sequel to YGGDRASIL would be made.
