Temperance (テンパランス) is a guild member of Ainz Ooal Gown and regarded as one of the Forty-One Supreme Beings by the NPCs of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He is the creator of Chacmool.
Appearance
He has an appearance that can be said is very similar to the color of darkness.
Personality
Due to his preference to be called by his nickname, it is implied he might be a chuunibyou.
Background
While playing YGGDRASIL, he joins the Nine's Own Goal clan led by Touch Me. He was part of this clan until it later got disbanded by the clan leader. At the same time of its dissolution, he got involved with his former clansmen in forming the guild by the name of Ainz Ooal Gown. After the creation of the newly-founded guild, the first mission every member of Ainz Ooal Gown including himself did was to conquer the Great Tomb of Nazarick during their first attempt which they successfully accomplished.[1]

The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom Arc

After hearing from Chacmool's Greater Doppelgängers that he wanted to be referred to as "Kurayami no Shirabe" and specifically instructed all of his creations to do so, Ainz could not help himself but laugh and even jokingly said it was a carefully-planned trap set to decrease his fighting spirit before his upcoming battle with Jaldabaoth and his demon maids.[2]

- Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown: It allows the user to freely teleport between every room inside Nazarick. Every member of Ainz Ooal Gown was required to wear this ring.
Relationships
Momonga
Momonga considers him as a very good friend and even reminisced about him in the past when his name was brought up by the Greater Doppelganger under Chacmool's command.
Erich String Orchestra
He is the creator of this group of Greater Doppelgängers. These beings considered Temperance's orders to be of greater importance and priority to them than following Ainz's orders.
Chacmool
Chacmool remembers his creator, Temperance fondly and encourages all members of his group to still refer him to "Kurayami no Shirabe" as it was what his creator wanted too.
Trivia
- He secretly calls himself "Kurayami no Shirabe" which literally means "investigation of darkness."
