Stone Eaters (石喰猿) are a demi-human race native to the Abelion Hills.
Background
Stone Eaters were one of many races that Jaldabaoth enslaved as part of his demi-human coalition to attack the Roble Holy Kingdom.
Appearance
The Stone Eaters look similar to apes, with long white hair.[1][2] In Mass for the Dead, Stone Eaters are depicted as more monkey-like with patches of rock-like skin and long prehensile tails.
Abilities
Stone Eaters are armed with crude weapons. In a way, their most frightening feature is their ability to spit the rocks they ate. The stone fragments they could easily spit in excess of one hundred meters could put dents in metal armor with ease. However, they could only do so a limited number of times, so if one could endure through it, it is not a problem.[3]
Elite members can gain a special buff to physical abilities depending on mineral types they eat. For instance, by eating diamonds, they could temporarily gain physical damage resistance which could only be bypassed by bludgeoning attacks. Usually, only three such abilities could be active at once.[4]
Culture
Very little is known about the Stone Eaters' culture, save that they are tribal. In its hierarchy is a king that rules them above all others.

Trivia
- Their ability to enhance themselves by consuming mineral is similar to the Quagoa.[5]
- In Mass for the Dead, Stone Eaters appear as foes in a Quarry where Sebas Tian works as a miner while infiltrating the recovering Re-Estize Kingdom.[6] Another one appeared as a foe in the Northern Cave, though it displayed electrical abilities.[7]
