GA Non-Canon: REMINDER! This page is considered as among one of the many pure game contents found exclusive in Mass for the Dead only. It includes the new standalone characters that had a first-time appearance in the game. Meanwhile, the old characters had a different role and fate than from the main storyline in the official books. For that reason, it has no connections to the canon story materials of Overlord Light Novel series. The content that you had read here are based on the Overlord mobile game.

Spear Chaos Beast (槍型混沌獣) is a type of monster that appears in Mass for the Dead.

Appearance[]

Unlike its other brethren, this creature is more paler and deformed. Rather than seamless purple metal, its body is twisted almost resembling organic armor. On its right arm, it possesses a lance while the left is a living shield.

Abilities[]

Unlike the more humanoid Chaos Beasts that fight solo, this type of monster maximizes its abilities by fighting in pairs. One to defend and the other to attack. Even individually they can be difficult opponents, able to shake off the powerful tier spells of Evileye and drive a Pleiades to a corner in a one to one battle. It can be said that this breed boasts the strongest defense and its hardness is near impossible to break with brute force.

It does have some weaknesses such as acid, which can be effective in eating away its armor. Another way is to push it to a corner to force it to release its invulnerability, which will cause it to forcibly induce itself to change from its defensive nature and enhance its muscles and speed similar to Martial Arts. When it undergoes this, its armor is weaker though its speed is a factor that a warrior will need to contend with.

Active[]

  • Martial Arts Strong Arm Spear Attack: An attacked that is initiated when the Chaos Beast brings down it spear-like hand vigorously and causes attacks on all areas.

Trivia[]

  • In Mass for the Dead, Brain Unglaus and several members of Blue Roses engaged two in battle near a cave in the Great Forest of Tob. They managed to kill the first one with acid, but the second one was more difficult as it relied on its speed to attack the adventurers. Only Brain Unglaus's sword attack was sharp and fast enough to slay it.[1]
  • Formerly designated as Large Chaos Beast (大型混沌獸), in a special collaboration event, this Chaos Beast was properly designated as Spear Chaos Beast acting as one of the bosses faced by the characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero.[2]
