Sling (スリング) is a weapon found in the New World.
Description[]
A long-range weapon that members of the Sunlight Scripture were equipped with.[1] Other variants exist in use by the lizardmen of the Great Lake.[2][3]
Appearance[]
In the Anime, the slings used by the Scripture showed them to be attached to their wrists. Whereas the lizardmen possess handheld ones in the form of a "Y".
Abilities[]
According to Nigun, a sling loaded with a bullet could shatter bone. Slings used by the lizardmen which used rocks likewise were able to shatter apart human bone at 80 meters away.[4] The maximum limit for their range was said to be 200 meters at which point a target would be impossible to hit.[5]
Trivia[]
- When Ainz Ooal Gown confronted the Sunlight Scripture and showed how their spells were useless against him, one of the members panicked attempted to shoot a bullet at it, only for it to be deflected right back at him. This scene though was cut out from the Manga.
- Several members of Heavy Masher were known to use slings, including Gringham.[6][7]
