Silent City (沈黙都市) is the name of a dead city located in the Beastman Country.

Background[edit | edit source]

According to tales told by the neighboring kingdoms, there once was a city located in the Beastman Country. It was destroyed not by war, disease, or any other natural disaster, but by three legendary undead monsters that suddenly appeared in the city.

The undead monsters responsible for the destruction of Silent City are known as Soul Eaters. They were able to ravage the entire city and ninety-five percent of the people who lived there. It was estimated that over one hundred thousand people were killed as part of the casualties. After the onslaught came to an end, the city was later left in ruin and abandoned. In the end, the city eventually rose into prominence as the legendary "Silent City."

Boris Axelson told about the tale of the Silent City to Marquis Raeven and Gazef Stronoff. That the city was destroyed by three Soul Eaters in the Beastman Country.[1]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

The tale of the Silent City is regarded as a work of fiction. But it served as a precursory warning to Marquis Raeven to signal the Kingdom's Army to retreat when he recognized the beasts that Ainz Ooal Gown had summoned for his army's mounts.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In the Bonus Novel despite the wanton death, the entire city was preserved intact.[2]
  • Keno Fasris Invern was hoping that the Silent City could be their main base of operation for the New Ainz Ooal Gown guild.
