Samurai (サムライ) is a Job Class that originally hailed from YGGDRASIL.

Background

A warrior type job class is found in certain countries of the New World.

According to Maruyama there is a samurai job class though the maximum level one can achieve is 10 or 15.

Trivia

• In an alternative timeline, there was a wild orc who was a ronin, which was a wandering samurai.
• In Mass for the Dead, Kyuko confirms that there are warriors with samurai professions in her homeland. At one point in her life she encountered a dying samurai who passed his blade to her as a keepsake. She uses this blade in her adventurer identity as "Ku", acting as a samurai.
• Furthermore according to Brain Unglaus, there are famous folktales of these warriors existing in a foreign nation south of the Re-Estize Kingdom. They are said to wear swordsman-style kimonos and wear a unique hairstyle is called a "mage" (マゲ), which involves samurai shaving their hair on the top of their heads and putting it into topknot.
  • Brain having bought a kimono to mimic being a samurai attempted o place his hair in a "mage" but it was too short and thus just simply tied it behind his head.
