The Ruler of Conspiracy Arc
- Main article: The Ruler of Conspiracy Arc
During a meeting with the highest ranking members of the Slane Theocracy, they wondered if Ainz Ooal Gown was perhaps Surshana reborn. Though they immediately dismissed the idea as the god was killed by the Eight Greed Kings. Even so if he had been resurrected, they were certain that a specific follower of their god would have informed them about it beforehand.[1]
The Witch of the Falling Kingdom Arc
- Main article: The Witch of the Falling Kingdom Arc
Azuth Aindra mentioned his name during his meeting with members of the Black Scripture. The leading representative was not familiar with the name. However after Azuth disclosed that Rufus identity was an undead and a patron of the Black Scripture, did the other members become tense and hostile towards the former. However the representative managed to restrain his fellows from any further rash action and quickly departed from the inn.[2]
Abilities and Powers
As an undead, he should have the standard abilities as other undead types, the lack of need to sleep, eat or tire, immunity to slash attacks and to heal from negative energy.
Relationships
Black Scripture
Although unconfirmed, its been implied by Azuth Aindra from the information he obtained from the Platinum Dragon Lord that Rufus is a direct superior to the Black Scripture and that he has maintained this position for a long time due to his undead status and has overseen countless generations of the Scripture since the Slane Theocracy's early history as a nation. This in turn would imply that he is also the current superior to the current members of the Scripture, but his exact role and position among them still has not been revealed.
So far the 5th Seat of the Scripture, Quaiesse is shown to be aware of his existence and respects him, however he appears to only know him professionally.
While the 10th through 12th seats of the Scripture is shown to hold him in high esteem and respects him as their superior. As seen where all three took serious, potentially murderous offense at Azuth Aindra's insults towards him and nearly slaughtered him together with Blue Roses in order to protect Rufus from having the information of his existence from being leaked out.
Platinum Dragon Lord
Their exact relationship is unknown, but the Platinum Dragon Lord is shown to be aware of his existence as an undead and is currently known to hold some sort of critical intel on him that could potentially endanger the Slane Theocracy.
Trivia
- It is possible he is the for-mentioned first follower of Surshana since he is an undead and his first follower is still alive after six hundred years.
- Rufus is a boy's name of Latin origin meaning "red-head".
