Roxy (ロクシー) is the paramour of Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix.

Appearance

Compared to the rest of the Emperor’s suitors, Roxy was noted to be very plain looking.

Personality

Despite Roxy’s position as the Emperor’s favored concubine, she appears to have a humble attitude. Though given a chance to become a woman of great power at Jircniv’s side she turned him down believing her looks would not be a match for his.

Background

Jircniv’s paramours were selected for their looks or their parents’ status, but one woman among them ignored those criteria.

This woman had been chosen for her intellect, rather than for her appearance or her breeding. Thus, she was allowed to discuss politics with Jircniv ― though not in public and only in bed ― and she was the only woman he allowed to do so.

During the journey to the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Baziwood asked if the Emperor if he would marry Roxy and take her as his consort. However, Jircniv explained to his vassal that she had declined his offer.

The Ruler of Conspiracy Arc

Jircniv, now without the aid of Loune Vermillion to handle the bureaucracy of the Empire, speak about her to his replacement. He commented that the only person he would assist him in this kind of work would be one of his concubines.

Jircniv mused to himself that his concubine commented that he smiled more often since the Empire’s vassalization into the Sorcerer Kingdom.

Abilities and Powers

The Concubine was noted by Jircniv to be skilled as a scribe. He stated that beside Loune Vermillion, the head scribe of the court, she was the only person that he would entrust such administrative duties to.

Relationships

Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix

The two appear to share a close relationship, albeit only behind closed doors. At first, Jircniv had not intended to take her as a concubine at all, but things had ended up like this at her own insistence. Despite her refusal, the emperor would have been happy if she had become his empress consort. He actually favors her because he is tired of noblewomen vying for power and foolish women trying to influence politics.

• Roxy is named in the Web Novel, however, her name has yet to be released in the Light Novel series.
• So far, it is currently unknown if she has given birth to any children with Jircniv.
• According to the author Maruyama, Jircniv’s choice in selecting her as his favorite stems partially due to his mother who poisoned his father.
