Ro-Lente Castle is a fortress that housed the royal family of the Re-Estize Kingdom.
Background[]
Ro Lente Caste was the heart of the Re-Estize Kingdom. It was called this as it housed the Valencia Palace which was the center of important news and information in the Kingdom and the home of the royal family.
Years ago in the Royal Tournament, its palace served as the stage for the finals where the historic duel between Gazef Stronoff and Brain Unglaus took place.[1] Due to the location's importance, to be allowed to be a guard at palace required a recommendation from a noble. Thus only those with clean backgrounds and sound bodies and minds were given recommendations. In addition the maids who worked in the palace were different from normal maids, in that they were actually daughters of noble houses who came to work at the palace for experience.[2]

In Valencia Palace, the king and nobles held court to discuss the mysterious magic caster that saved Gazef Stronoff and his men at Carne Village. Though the Warrior Captain holds Ainz Ooal Gown to be an honorable fellow, the nobles, however, ignore the heroics of the magic caster, and instead cast doubt and slander his name, surmising that he is an enemy from one of the other nations. Some even recommend bringing Ainz in for questioning using force.[3]

On one of his many days Climb did his usual routine of getting up from his bed and heading to the eating hall in the castle. Later he went to the training area where Gazef found him and offered to spar with him.[4] Once he exchanged blows with the Warrior Captain, Climb then went to see Renner Theiere Chardelon Ryle Vaiself who was in her room at the palace. Also there were Lakyus Alvein Dale Aindra and Tina who were discussing with the princess on their countermeasures against Eight Fingers.[5] Climb later left the castle and headed into the city to meet the rest of Blue Roses. While in the city he was heading back to the palace when he encountered Sebas Tian and Brain Unglaus. In a series of circumstances the meeting led to him to joining Sebas Tian on his attack at a brothel owned by Eight Fingers. Once the brothel was exposed to the authorities, Climb returned to the palace to report to Renner.[6][7][8]
The next morning, the castle served as a meeting place for Blue Roses, Climb and the princess as they worked out a plan to take down Eight Fingers with the help of the adventurers and Marquis Raeven.[9] However their plans were interrupted with the appearance of Jaldabaoth and the Demonic Disturbance. The forces of the Kingdom then regrouped back to the castle to come up with a plan to save the city. There they were introduced to their champion, Momonga would had the power to defeat the demon.[10] A few such as the Crown Prince of the Kingdom stayed behind on the pretense of defending the castle from the demons, though rumors of his cowardice would later spread by his younger brother Zanac Valleon Igana Ryle Vaiself.[11] While the adventurers fought against the overwhelming odds with the city soldiers, to distract Jaldabaoth's forces, they were reinforced by Gazef and his Warrior Troop along with the king.[12]

In the Valencia Palace, King Ramposa III summoned the royalists and the nobles together for a meeting. The king revealed that he had received a message from the Baharuth Empire, demanding that the Re-Estize Kingdom must hand over the territory around E-Rantel to the newly founded nation of Nazarick, led by the Sorcerer King, Ainz Ooal Gown. This causes everyone to be in a heated debate over this mad declaration. Eventually, they simply dismiss it as another mere excuse for the Empire's annual war.[13]
Later after the Massacre at Katze Plains, the nobles and higher ups of the badly beaten Kingdom was shown to once again gather in the Royal Castle's Conference Room together with King Rampossa III, as they finally gave in to the Empire and the newly established Sorcerer Kingdom's demands.

After the defeat of the Kingdom by the Sorcerer King, Zanac Valleon Igana Ryle Vaiself took up duties in managing the state affairs in place of his father who was grieving the losses of both Gazef and his son Barbro Andrean Ield Ryle Vaiself.[15] Later after the royal family received a declaration of war from the Sorcerer King, members of the the royal family and nobility gathered together to discuss their options. King Ramposa III attempted to offer an unconditional surrender to the emissary Albedo, but it was rejected. The disastrous negotiations then encouraged Ramposa III to try an convince his two remaining children to escape before the onset of the war but the two refused to leave him behind.[16]
Once the Sorcerer Kingdom conquered the Royal Capital by capturing and infiltrating Ro Lente Castle, this guaranteed the success of the Fall of the Re-Estize Kingdom for good. Excluding the palace, the Royal Capital that was once known as Re-Estize now lay in ruin after being destroyed by the forces of the Sorcerer Kingdom, particularly by Mare Bello Fiore who plays a major role in its demise. Such destruction that had to happen within this former city were the annihilation of its people and residences.[17]
In the aftermath of Re-Estize's conquest, the Sorcerer King decided to leave the palace standing as a symbol of what happens to those that oppose him and his country. However, if some plague were to be born from this, it would be quite troublesome. For that reason, the Sorcerer King then ordered the rest of the remains of the city to be burned to the ground by Guren.[18]
Layout & Features[]
The castle was made from a series of over twenty vast circular guard towers, at which there were 800 meter walls.[19] These fortifications joined together to form curtain walls that surrounded a stretch of land measuring 1,400 meters.
Training Area: One of the towers in the wall contained an entire floor reserved as the training area. Usually such a facility would be located outside, but since having an outdoor training area would mean that the soldiers would be seen by foreign ambassadors, the area was relocated indoors to avoid the risk of appearing low class.[20]
Valencia Palace: Valencia Palace was located heart of Ro-Lente Castle. The palace itself was largely divided into three main buildings. The largest was where the royal family resided and where it was deigned to let in as much light possible, making it blindingly light. In addition there are hidden passages within the palace that lead to the city.
