Summary[]
Cocytus is at the bar where Entoma Vasilissa Zeta offers him a bowl of sweets. Picking one out of the bowl, Cocytus asks Sous-chef and Entoma if they heard about Ainz Ooal Gown's plan of using "carrots and sticks." When they do not know, the Floor Guardian updates them on what transpired. Hearing this Sous-chef is left impressed that the Supreme Being is planning to use such a method on a national scale.
Cocytus agrees that Ainz's greatness always exceeds their expectation. Sous-chef admits this to be true, as he himself was given the task to employ the Pleiades at the bar. Even now he still doesn't understand what Ainz's goal is in this. Entoma reminds the pair that their master has told them to think for themselves. And that thinking is not detrimental. Her words ring true to the Floor Guardian and Sous-chef,
They are surprised by her words as they do not she Entoma speak so remarkably well. The maid insists that's how she normally talks, though the Cocytus states that when the maid sometimes looks like a beast on an empty stomach. Hearing that Sous-chef nervously asks if she is hungry right now. The maid is fine, and admits that when she is hungry her mind can't normally think straight. Though she ate before come to the bar, she starts to feel hungry after hearing the talk about sweets and carrots. To show that her hunger is settling in she removes her mask to show her colleagues her 'pale' complexion.
Cocytus offers a piece of candy, seeing how she needs it. Sous-chef apologizes as he can't cook to prepare something for her. On the topic of food, Cocytus also wishes to have something more substantial to eat other than candy. Éclair Éklair Éklare sitting at the end of the bar, chuckles musing that the maid is black-hearted on the inside. Entoma even after eating the candy, still hungers and looks towards the penguins who squeaks in fright when she begins drooling at him.
