Pandora's Actor (パンドラズ・アクター) is an NPC that manages the Treasury and the financial manager of Nazarick.

Appearance

Pandora's Actor's clothes were tidy. He wore a two-button dark suit that hugged his thin body. It included a single cuffed plain white shirt, a silver grey striped necktie, and black leather shoes. He also had white gloves that covered his strangely long four fingers.

His face was flat, with no nose or other facial features. The mouth and eyes were replaced by three empty holes, and although he had no nose nor ears, he wore glasses that were somehow secured to his face.

Personality

Pandora’s Actor spoke in a much more approachable manner. In addition, he had a fetish towards organizing magic items, in that it made him obsessively disgusting and surprising. Pandora’s Actor possessed wit and cunning that ranked among the pinnacle of Nazarick’s denizens. While he usually applied said intelligence toward strange purposes, it was very difficult to cast aside his wisdom during times of great need.

Background

Prior to the transfer to the New World, the Floor Guardians knew very little about Ainz-sama’s creation.

Chronology

Overlord First Half Arc

While in the Treasury, under Ainz's orders, he was not only performing experimentation with several magic items but conducting tests on various magics and spells as well. This was done so to differentiate the scaling of magic power, using it to find noticeable differences that aren't unique to YGGDRASIL after Nazarick's arrival in the New World.

Later after Shalltear complicated things by interfering with Momon's cover. He considered replacing the Guardian with either Sebas Tian or Pandora's Actor. Though in truth neither of the two were suitable. After Momon maintained his cover by defeating Khajiit Dale Badantel in the E-Rantel's Cemetery, Ainz came to deliver some items to her, he mentioned his creation in passing stating he should have left him the task. When Nazarick detected spies from the Baharuth Empire camping outside the dungeon Ainz ordered his Eight-Edge Assassins to capture them. Feeling tired he wished Demiurge had returned and was considering asking Pandora's Actor for assistance.

Overlord Second Half Arc

After the newly Archuke Ainz Ooal Gown was accepted into the Empire, there were preparations to move to a mansion in Arwintar. To play the part of a noble, he required certain luxurious goods to flaunt his wealth. He ordered his subordinates to seek the aid of Pandora’s Actor to transport the materials from the Treasury to his new residence. Pandora's Actor was mentioned again by his creator when he began fussing over the upcoming imperial ball. he lamented that he could not dance and wondered why he did not write that Pandora’s Actor can dance. Pandora's Actor finally made his actual appearance by posing as Tabula Smaragdina when Ainz visited the Treasury with Yuri Alpha and CZ2128 Delta. When the maids saw him as Tabula they nearly attacked him for impersonating one of the Supreme Beings before Ainz called them off. He complied to Ainz's request to retrieve Artifact class items from the Treasury. However, Pandora's Actor tried to convince Ainz to allow him additionally duties outside the Treasury. His incessant talking caused Ainz to give his creation a Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown to get him to be quiet and permit him to leave the area.

Abilities and Powers

Pandora's Actor was respected as a powerful existence as any of the Guardians and guards the deepest part of the Treasury. He was a level one hundred NPC whose talents lay in disguise and could copy forty-five separate forms and even their abilities — though only at 75% percent of the original’s potency. Pandora’s Actor possessed very flexible abilities, to the point where he could replace all the other Guardians.

Ainz Ooal Gown

Pandora's Actor is Ain's personal creation and seems to trust him to handle things when more of his loyal servants like Demiurge are away from Nazarick. Due to his appearance and his overreactive personality, he creator was embarrassed by him and instead saw him as an egghead and uneasy.

Trivia

• In the Light Novel Pandora's Actor meets with Ainz, Yuri, and Shizu much in the same way. Though there are a few differences in that their meeting occurs prior to the Nazarick encountering the Baharuth Empire. Albedo is also present at the exchange in the Light Novel. Additionally, the World Items are retrieved rather than the Artifact Items.
