Spoiler Warning: Plot from the light novel details follow

Ainz Ooal Gown and Mare Bello Fiore arrived at the darl elf village in disguises as so not to alarm the dark elves. Aura greets the duo, her "uncle" and brother before the assembled dark elf congregation. Ainz allows the twins to take their luggage to the home the dark elves have prepared while he speaks with the elders and adults. Ainz using magic to disguise himself as a dark skinned elf, also wears a mask to cover the fact that it does not move due to it being an illusion.

To get by this, he explains to the dark elves it is a tradition of his tribe. He introduces himself as Ain Bell Fior a traveling peddler. As thanks for taking care of Aura, he presents gifts of dwarven runecraft items. While the gifts are of some interest to the dark elves, they are more interested in Ain, asking if he is a warrior, though are somewhat unsure after hearing he is a wizard and not a hunter.

While speaking to the Vice Master of the Hunt, Plum Ganen, Ain asks if his twins could play with the village's children so as to give them an experience of life in a dark elf village since they are from a city. Ainz briefly speaks with Blueberry Egnia who inquires if Aura has a fiancé. Th query although strange, Ain figures that the male elf is only seeking to match male Aura with one of the younger dark elves, and replies that she currently does not have one.

The meeting between the alleged peddler and the Council of Elders occur. When one of the refers Aura as a sapling, Ain misinterprets this to be a use of dark elves using plant-theme words in their vernacular. He follows their example by conveying a flowery speech of thanks using many flora-theme words that leave the elders and members of the Youth Faction stunned and speechless. Ainz then later approaches the children of the village, bribing them with candy to encourage them to play with Aura and Mare.

Meanwhile Ain's introduction had thrown the elders, Raspberry Nabar, Peach Orbea and Strawberry Pischa in confusion, mostly due to his formal greeting and use of vernacular. The trio think Ain's formalities is part of elven etiquette from the city, though None of the elders know how to appropriately respond and neither do they want to show their ignorance of dark elven culture. To avoid embarrassing themselves, the elders decide it be best to avoid speaking with Ain and hand over responsibilities of the gift sharing to the youngsters. Likewise ironically the Youth Faction are at the same impasse. They also do not want to show their ignorance and been seen as bumpkins. To avoid this, they consider reaching out to the elders for their guidance on elven traditions.

After getting settled in their assigned elf tree, the twins starting to interact with the other dark elven children, Ain wanted to learn more about the medicinal herbs used by the village, leading him to see the Chief Pharmacist, Mango Gilena. At first the gruff dark elf took little interest in the stranger, but after Ain reveal some of hie rudimentary herbal knowledge and the purple potion, he agreed to hear him out and even took him on as an apprentice.

A week since Ain and his “family” arrived at the village, Ain wins the respect of the village after slaying a Giant Hypnotism Python. In addition he gains a rapport with Gilena, while finding him gruff enjoys being his apprentice. Though the village encounters an unexpected situation when a messenger from the elven capital arrived, bearing a request for reinforcements against the invasion from the Slane Theocracy. After the messenger leaves to head to the other villages, the village holds a meeting to discuss on what action they should take. Ain was asked to attend the discussion to provide his input as he knew more about what as going out outside the forest.

After learning that the culprit of the war on their elven cousins was the Slane Theocracy, the elders were of the mind to assist their brethren. Their motivation for doing so was out of fear that the human nation would turn their attention to wiping out the dark elves after they destroyed the capital. However said action was question by the youths as it was still undetermined as to why the humans were attacking the elves and if perhaps this was a conflict that they should not get involved in.

At a standstill, Ain was asked to speak on the matter to help them decide. Ain while uncomfortable at getting involved in their politics, provided them some information on the Theocracy. And while he did not know why the human nation was attacking their cousins, he did agree that they should not abandon their kin to their fate. Not just out of duty, but to avoid tarnishing the dark elves reputation. However he admitted that going to war would inadvisable, thus he proposed that the dark elves send a token force from each village to the capital in order to fulfill their debt to their cousins. All while they should also prepare to evacuate in case the humans decided to target the dark elves. The proposal was then met with approval by the elders and villagers and arrangements were made to deliver the decision to the other dark elf villages.

By this time, Ain announced his intention to depart from the village with his family and move unto the next village. While preparing to leave, Mango showed up and warned Ain about the village's woman plan to have them join him in order to ensure they would be forced to accompany them, in a rush he thanked him and set off hurriedly out of the village much faster than planned.

Meanwhile at the frontlines, The Slane's Army has finally broken trough and reached the outer cities limits and have made arrangements to end the war once and for all, however the main issue of concern was still the King who alone is more stronger than all their combined forces. The head of the army had received word that the Slane's Trump card has arrived personally and will take care of the king while they finish off the rest of the elven army and take the city.

Meanwhile after leaving the village, Ainz and the twins decided what to do from here, while his plan for them to make friends was more or less a failure he was still satisfied he gained some intel and that the dark elves will possibly come to his kingdom which would create another chance for the twins to make friends. Now that they observed the Elf Country will probably lose to the Theocracy forces, Ainz decided to raid the main castle in the capital for any possible treasure before they had back and with the twins in toe they prepared the right items and went to infiltrate the castle.

Once inside the castle, they were met by the unexpected presence of the Elf King who detected their intrusion inside the treasure vault. Ainz hidden under the spell he casted to conceal himself looked over his stats and was actually impressed by how strong the king actually was, While the twins and the king talked, he was preparing buffs and spells in order to start combat and the same time the king having decided to abandon the country as seeing as weak, Decem was under the mistaken delusion that the twins were one of his offsprings grandkids and attempted to take em with them and even had the gull to try to mate with Aura.

Ainz after hearing this lost his composure and suckered punched him out of sheer emotional anger at the gull of him asking to defile his friends kids. Decem caught offguard seeing the undead, quickly assumed that he was summoned monster by the twins and in turn summoned his own summon The Behemoth Which turned out to actually be a Primal Elemental.
