The Supreme Daily Life (至高の日常) is the eighty-second chapter of the Overlord: The Undead Oh! series.
Summary[]
YGGDRASIL Blaze[]
Herohero asks Ubert and Momonga if they heard about the hot news on YGGDRASIL. To Momonga YGGDRASIL's production is always a hot topic. Ulbert though mentions that the game rests on its laurels as a fee-to-play game and lets players debug it. The game as a matter a fact was born without the word "user-friendly" in mind. But despite this flaw, people log into the game every day.
Back to the topic of hot news, Ulbert asks what they can expect, which Herohero states that there will be new areas added. From what she heard there are some areas where the sound of mosquitoes flow nosily. Although Ulbert thinks that something only young people will notice this due to the lower their heights the louder the audible range in hertz Ulbert asks his friends would like to check their aging using this test, but they decline.
Herohero comments that just by playing a normal game, makes one feel the effect of aging especially in reflexes and memory ability. His words though cause his friends to tell him that Herohero shouldn't worry about such things as he is still young and that he is only feeling old due to being fatigued every day.
Topic[]
Warrior Takemikazuchi asks if Momonga has been watching soccer lately, which Momonga admits he has been watching the digest videos and footage. Touch Me asks if there is any other particular reason why he does so. Momonga though states that his company's major client is a soccer enthusiast, so he watches soccer games for the purpose of creating a topic of conversation. Hearing the length Momonga does for his clients, makes Touch Me comment that being a salesman is hard. For Touch Me he knows all about hero special effects, so he'd know what fans like, but would be at a loss about soccer.
Momonga laughs and states that if he has a business partner interested in Tokusatsu he will refer him to Touch Me. Peroroncino jumps in adding that if it was an eroge game he'd be happy to give advice. And while Momonga is grateful for his offer, he doesn't think that an opportunity will come. Warrior Takemikazuchi adds that eroge games are not a topic that one declares in a business setting.
The Overlord states that it if were a detailed topic he wouldn't have the need to study it beforehand. Warrior Takemikazuchi suggests using YGGDRASIL as a topic of conversation. Peroroncino adds that Momonga has a YGGDRASIL keychain which is official merchandise of the game, signifing one is playing the game and could be used as a way to introduce the topic. Touch Me finds that to be an excellent idea, although Momonga does not want to reveal his true identity as a player. Seeing he has a point, Pero comments that it would reveal Momonga's association as the infamous Ainz Ooal Gown guildmaster. Warrior comments doing so would be a tradeoff.
Real World and Game World[]
Bukubukuchagama talks how game terms usually come out casually in real life, such as when she went to a lunch buffet restaurant with a friend. After having dinner she went to get dessert at the buffet table and found the food to be temporarily out of stock. So she went back to her friend and told her she was waiting for desert to repop (a game term that means when a defeated monster reappears in the same place).
Nishikienrai can sympathize as sometimes the line between reality and games becomes blurred. For example when he wants to know more information about an item he got from YGGDRASIL he searches on the Internet. Like the time when he got some fluorite and found that there was a host of uses for it in the real world. While searching for its uses in the real world, Nishikienrai narrowed his search with YGGDRASIL and found some details of its usage in the game. Though Momonga and Bukubukuchagama don't let him finish as they get the idea.
General Knowledge[]
While out exploring an area composed of a chamber, guild members Luci★Fer, Touch Me, and Momonga standby as Tabula Smaragdina studies a diagram on the wall of the chamber, with another similar design on the floor with several stones with symbols on them. Lucifer thinks its part of some sort a puzzle of some sort. Tabula works by placing the stones on specific locations on the kabbalah. Touch Me wants to check the other rooms to see if they missed anything but Tabula feels that there is no need. After e finishes placing the last stone, a door opens in response. Momonga calls him amazing, asking him if has been here before. Tabula says he has not, and that the puzzle is actually easy, because it the Sefirot. None of the other guild members know this and it's doubtful that its common knowledge. It's widely agreed that Tabbula's knowledge is everyone's trivia.
Tabula objects to being called this, claiming otaku know the Sefirot design. Peroroncino though admits he has seen the symbol before, but doesn't remember the name of it. Momonga agrees, but not well, like the different cuts of beef. And this is further proven when Luci★Fer admits to ignorance of the design. Tabula then tries to lecture his guild members on the Sefirot, angrily stating that the Sefirot isn't that much harder to remember compared to cuts of beef. He quizzes Luci★Fer on the bottom most part of the Sefirot, the Malkuth, but is given the incorrect answer of Bonjiri or crunchy chicken tail meat.
Voice Changer[]
One evening, Momonga walks in over Bukubukuchagama and Yamaiko sitting and talking. While greeting the female players, Momonga is taken aback by the altered voice of Bukubukuchagama. He asks what's up with her voice, and Bukubukuchagama tells him a fellow voice actor told her about a voice changer which she is trying out. Bukubukuchagama explains that when using voice chat in games, it's possible that a voice actor's identity could be revealed through their voice. Hence why she is using one. Peroroncino dashes over, greeting his friends and sister, who gives him a blunt response. Peroroncino immediately thinks she sound like the same voice as the host of Death Game. Yamaiko suggests Bukubukuchagama adjust the voice quality of the voice changer.
Even so Bukubukuchagama plays the role, acting out as a death game host briefly, which Momonga comments on her acting skills and being in character. Her brother though sees that she trying to protect her identity, but points out that she does not need it. Since Bukubukuchagama does not use voice chat when she plays alone. Peroroncino teases that there's such a big difference between the roles Bukubukuchagama plays and her true self that she doesn't even notice. And that none would ever associate his big sister, a laid back character whose catchphrase is "Hawawa~".
In response Bukubukuchagama says everyone has a bomb attached their collars. Yamaiko asks how is her Death Game persona is coming along, though the voice actor eventually quits. She adjusts the voice and listening to it comments it sounds like a male. Yamaiko adds that even if she is not a voice actor, she would not want to be noticed just because she is a woman. Apparently there are some female gamers out there who use a voice changer to make their voices male.
Momonga states that team battle games require close coordination through voice chat, so there are unlikely to be a lot of male players in that particular. This gives Peroroncino a thought, what if there are women among their members who they think are actually men using a voice changer. Thinking on it carefully there are only three people in the guild of forty-one who are women which should be odd since it's too few. Momonga reminds his friend that their guild only accepts heteromorphs, which is a reason why there are not many women. Yamaiko things that most female gamers would more likely choose something like elves, like her sister.
Still Peroroncino suspects some of the other guildmembers like Blue Planet, thinking his voice is too low to be male. But this is disproved by Momonga as the person who came to the offline meetup in real life was a man with a tough appearance. However the bird-man player is not listening, dancing off in his own fantasy about Blue Planet being a nature-loving romantic girl.
Tabula soon appears noticing the excitement of the four players. Peroroncino comes out of his dance, and says that if Tabula was a woman, his radical fashion sense, being composed of leather straps, would be more appreciative. Bukubukuchagama scolds her brother for such thoughts, although Tabula actually agrees with Pero. If he were a woman, he must be a shy one who secretly wants to show off so the game avatar looks sexy and indecent. Although his friends think he's just being a gap moe and adapting to the situation for fun.
Rare Drop Hunter[]
The guild of Ainz Ooal Gown are hunting Zakugumo in the Spider's Nest. Nishikienrai explains that if they hunt the Joou Shin'eitai then the Joougumo will appear. Yamaiko is excited as the queen spider's rare drop is an item needed for Nishikienrai to strengthen himself. Nish is really appreciative for his friends helping him. Bukubukuchagama though wants to start hunting. Peroroncino is excited due to the Joougumo being a female monster and hopes she looks pretty, which Ulbert comments only he would be motivated by that.
As they fight the elite guards Bukubukuchagama complains that the Joougumo has not shown up yet. Nishikienrai though says that even if you defeat the elite guards, the Joougumo is not guaranteed to appear as it like a lottery POP. Even so Bukubukuchagama will keep fighting the Queen's Guards until the queen shows up. Yamaiko agrees as even though fighting the spiders is monotonous work it's fun because there are a lot of people to chat with.
Nishikienrai is happy for the company as he often hunted along and felt empty. Momonga responds that any guild member who has free time and is bored should be free to call him and say hello. Nish feels that he has inconvenienced is friend since they are hunting for his benefit. Though his friends don't mind as helping with the hunt is mutual.
Bukubukuchagama though note that the attacks from the Zakogumo are pretty painful. And questions if a person could really solo them. Peroroncino suspects that its due to the continuous damage from the monsters, which Yamaiko iterates as Damage Over Time (DOT). She asks how Nish contended with this obstacle when fighting the spiders. The ninja replies that he merely killed them before they attacked him.
Bukubukuchagama notices that even though this area is a hunting ground, she doesn't see any other players than them. Nishikienrai thinks is due to there being more efficient methods of hunting rare drops. Plus there's them who arrived before anyone else. Nishikienrai thinks the other platers are not coming near because of him, afraid of being PKed if they monopolize the hunting grounds. That being the spiders are too realistic that they frighten players to which Bukubukuchagama agrees as she can't look at the creatures in the eye and thus prefers to just half-close them. The same is done by Yamaiko.
And while Bukubukuchagama doesn't have a fear of spiders, one needs to be mentally prepared, which she did so when she head of the name of the area. Ulbert agrees in the need for being mentally prepared, given insects can be tough for them. This brings back bad memories for Peroroncino on the Armadillidium. The members of the raid party then assumed it was an armadillo, but got a real shocker, with some of them even screaming, when the thing unrolled to reveal itself as a giant pill bug. Though to Momonga it was obvious given the name of the monster is its scientific name, still the thought of it causes Bukubukuchagama distress.
Eventually all the guards are defeated, but the queen has yet to appear. At first the party thinks that they will have to try next time, but the monster does appear. The sight of the monster annoys Peroroncino, as he was expecting an attractive monster girl not some disgraceful looking thing. Momonga chuckles that's YGGDRASIL for them. Peroroncino decides to half-close his eyes so he will not look at the disappointing spider queen, which Ulbert responds that Pero should face reality and his sister advising him to aim properly.

- The proverb: "If the pheasant doesn't cry, it won't be shot" is used to underscore Bukubukuchagama's usage of a voice changer, in that if someone doesn't draw attention/speak up, they will likely be overlooked or ignored.
