Fashionable Sorcerer King ♡ Ainz Ooal Gown (オシャレ魔導王♡アインズ・ウール・ゴウン) is the sixty-ninth chapter of the Overlord: The Undead Oh! series

Summary[]

At the mayor's mansion in E-Rantel, Fith greets Ainz Ooal Gown and readies to dress him, with the help of two special maids: Albedo and Shalltear Bloodfallen. Both Floor Guardians are wearing maid outfits, that Shalltear received from Peroroncino.

The two women prepare to challenge each other to see which dress coordination will be favored by Ainz. Before doing that the call a truce just long enough so they can take off Ainz's clothes. Ainz now sweating with nervousness wonders if its best to run away.

Thankfully they don't strip him, as the two manage to suppress their desires to think rationally using a trick with prime numbers from Tabula Smaragdina.

The first outfit that the give Ainz includes a crown and haughty-looking robes, but upon seeing their grimaces, the Overlord believes it is terrible and tries to take it off. He is stopped by the women as it is a misunderstanding in that they were having difficulty measuring Ainz's greatness. However when Albedo mention gauging the level of otaku scream level. This makes him reflect that Whitebrim was like this as he was an otaku with limited vocabulary, such as [I HATE THIS], [DELETE THIS], etc.

To avoid such misunderstanding the two "special maids" offer Ainz to use safe words to alert them of this, but Ainz has none of that as both women's suggestions for safe words are inappropriate.

In regards to Albedo choice for dress coordination, while it does make him look kingly, Ainz finds the crown to be a hindrance when he tips his head doing paperwork. Albedo insists that is fashionable, causing Ainz to reconsider following King Ramposa III example in wearing a crown constantly or place the crown away when not in public.

Though he gets another idea of manipulating Albedo into thinking his aura of majesty needs no items to symbolize his power. This causes Albedo to believe he is right. Truth be told Ainz cares not for fashion only performance and rarity of the items he wears. He only started caring about the equipment he wore when he was being hunted by PKers as he stood out because his avatar was dressed in rags.

Despite this the Overlord believes it would not be so bad to have an aesthetic taste so he allows the session to resume. Shalltear's dress coordination has Ainz deckde in bone armor with humans skulls as shoulder pads. The sight leaves the two Floor Guardians blind at its appearance with Shalltear even calling out Cainabel's name. Though Shalltear it will inspire fear in humans, Ainz recalls that he once wore this outfit in front of Luci★Fer who laughed at him with Bukubukuchagama giving his two extra heads names, Tabula Smaragdina calling him a Cerberus and Yamaiko comparing him to an Asura.

Ainz inquires Shalltear what she thinks of him having three heads, but to his shock the vampire feels that she would prefer to have him have four more heads since it works well for a Dead Tree Demon since the greater number of heads symbolizes power. This stupefies Momonga who now is reconsidering that this was a bad idea as the women idea of power and status are way out of proportion to what he considers to be the norm.

Albedo digging through a sack finds some more items, but they are stuff Ainz can't wear most are torso equipment like armro with the head of a Skeletal Dragon sticking out or a sweater with a stuffed toy which AInz recalled Punitto Moe was compared to a Christmas sewater with an animal stick out. Another item is a great sword though looks too decorative to be a weapon and more looks like a keychain, which Ainz explains was a trinket that Peroroncino bought because it was cool. Shalltear discovers a skull topped scepter and thinks it would be perfect for Ainz. On where Ainz got it, the undead recalls that he traded it with an eccentric player named Inoue Josis. Looking at the scepter he muses how it is so nostaglic.

Albedo and Shalltear then put their differences aside and work together to dress Momonga, now in a robes and burning wielding a staff. While the women are dazzled by the display, Ainz is more fascinated that each article on him reminds him his time with his comrades in his guild.

Fifth interrupts informing the Floor Guardians that the elder liches, vampire brides and shadow demons wish to return to work, causing the women to quickly resume their duties.
