Good Job For the 4th Season! Anime Launch Party! (4期おつかれ! アニメ打ち上げ会) is the sixty-sixth chapter of the Overlord: The Undead Oh! series
Summary[]
Albedo and Demiurge are working in an audio control room, helping Pandora's Actor, in Ainz Ooal Gown's form, to record some phrases. When Albedo gives him a new set of lines to rehearse, the doppelganger immediately sees that its a fake and just a script of him, as Ainz, declaring the Overseer Guardian as his wife.
Pandora's Actor reminds Albedo that Ainz is in high demand due to various collaboration projects since the release of season 4. Hence the purpose for these audio recordings are to lighten their master's burden. That being said he asks her to refrain from trying to use these session for her private use. He also wonders if using his master's form is a bit disrespectful for this task.
Albedo though boldly states that she has no feelings of guilt as she slips these scripts as a form of motivation. A [Message] from Ainz soon comes for her, causing her to stand at attention. All bravado of being shameless comes undone as she quickly bows her head to the floor, apologizing to Ainz thinking he overheard her.
Ainz is not asking about that, but informs her of some new developments and orders her to assemble the Floor Guardians. After she ends the [Message] with Ainz, Albedo informs her peers that the Overlord IV season launch party has been decided. The male NPCs are shocked at the timing as they had been preparing for such a occasion. Albedo as well takes it as a sign that soon their master will give them orders to prepare for the launch.
Ainz in his office, muses on the new changes being made for the art of Overlord: The Undead Oh! to reflect more like its mainstream counterpart: Demiurge's darker shade of skin tone, Aura and Mare's skin being more accurately darker. Ainz wonders why the changes were being made until now, and then is wonder turns to worry that the meta remarks for the series finally became noticed.
Now that he thinks about it, a lot of new characters were introduced in the new opening theme of season 4, including Nigredo. Not only that the appearances of the Manservants and Éclair have drastically changed from their manga debuts. Although the changes are minor, its brings some benefits to Ainz that everything is becoming more accurate. When he arrives to meet the Floor Guardians, he is met by two seemingly identical posters of them being held up by Cocytus and being presented by Albedo. COcytus explains that there are mistakes on the posters which they must find.
Ainz quickly lists out the answers and passes the test, but is clueless as to why the Floor Guardians are doing this. Demiurge explains that while Ainz informed them of the launch, they were able to perceive his real intentions hence why they set up this exercise. Though they are really just reading too deep into his actions. Nevertheless Albedo praises the work of season 4, saying it is not exaggeration that the opening and ending songs are the best. Others comments on the main story battles and highlights in the season.
Albedo is proud that her sister finally made a debut. When Ainz adds that now that the manga depictions in Overlord: The Undead Oh! will be in line with the anime, Albedo ignores it focusing on how the season portraying Renner to be marvelous. To Ainz it seems that the NPCs are more concentrated on the work of season 4 rather than the cosmetic changes being made to their manga. The female NPCs laud of how the season depicted Renner as a tragic heroine and her singing to be superb, causing Albedo to be envious.
Back to the plan at hand, Albedo has assembled the Floor Guardians for Ainz's plan of attack for the season 4 launch. Ainz muses that means to review the anime for mistakes in the art. Demiurge taking this a time for open exchange, has many ideas, one being to enhance Ainz's graphic detail in his character. Ainz though doubts that such feedback will be taken as KADOKAWA is resistant to paying for such changes.
Mare has an idea for the manage, which involves playing out an action over multiple panels of art. There are ideas to include the panels into a homemade zoetrope that can be instructed to the readers to make. Or even a thaumatrope of Brain being frozen as seen in the season. Others call for adding optical illusions into the manga to entertain guests, such as a white and black image of Gazef Stronoff to create an afterimage.
Shalltear Bloodfallen and Albedo promote an idea of having a find Ainz challenge in the chapter, where a reader has to find Ainz amongst several skeletons. Although Ainz points out that all the undead have no clothes on to effectively differentiate them leading him to guess this is more of a perverted fantasy for the women.
Ainz thanks everyone for their passion. though advises doing anything drastic. He reminds them that season 4 was a success was because of Renner's singing, not just because it was a unexpected, but created a sense of visualization and originality. Everyone in the room, curse their blasphemy for not considering this. As the embers of excitement on season 4 and the 10th anniversary die down, Mare asks Demiurge's darker skin tone.
