Nemel Gran (ネメル・グラン) is a minor noble studying as a student at the Imperial Magic Academy.

Overlord Second Half Arc

Nemel is introduced while in the streets of Arwintar and becomes embroiled in a plot to kill Archduke Ainz Ooal Gown saved from some ruffians. The agents of Ijaniya used her as bait to draw Ainz, but the Archduke has seen through their ploy and chased them away thanks to Solution Epsilon. The Overlord believed that she was in on the ambush but then realized she was just an unknowing pawn. Jet Testania soon arrives and initially believes Ainz and Solution were doing harm to the girl. However, the girl manages to explain the circumstance and the pair end up thanking Ainz and Solution before departing.

In the Imperial Magic Academy, after classes are over and the students begin cleaning the classroom, Nemel approaches Jet to assist him. She notices his weariness and asks if everything is fine.

Later she was aggressively approached by Rangobart Eck Waria Roberbad to join his team for the upcoming exam. Jet intervened to defend her, though knowing his influence was weak, went to ask Fluder Paradyne to join their team, him and Nemel, which to her shock the old man accepted. Fluder now a teammate allowed them to be almost untouchable by the other students.

Nemel was later seen at Jet's residence with his mother. Jet finally arrived and shared a meal of hot potato stew, used from the ingredients she received from her sister working at her employer. After eating, Jet escorts Nemel home, during which she reveals that she received an invitation from Rangobart to a ball. The two guess that it has something to do with Fluder being on their team. Though Nemel doesn't want to go, she has to attend as it would be rude to refuse. Plus she did not wish to take away her father's joy at his daughter receiving an invitation to a prominent noble's ball.

At Rangobart's Estate she was present at a ball, and was surprised to see her friend Jet come just for her. However Jet accidentally saw through Ainz Ooal Gown's disguise as Momon. The undead taking noticed of this approached them, causing Jet to stand between them much to the girl's confusion. After asking Nemel to part ways Jet and the undead had a private conversation, with the latter subtly coercing the boy to keep silent. He was threatened if he did otherwise that misfortune would claim Nemel.

After the ball, Nemel noticed Jet being worried about the upcoming imperial exam. She attempted to cheer him up, but also realized that the talk with Momon had rattled him a bit and he refused to disclose what happened. On the day of the exam, she helped prepare tp set out with her team by handling with map management. Both she and Jet saw the change in personality of Honesty, from a quite girl to a bold and adventurous student and wondered if they were talking to the same comrade.

Nemel joined her group and journeyed to the Great Forest of Tob with a knight escort. During the trip she walked alongside the wagon Jet was managing with Honesty to serve as lookout. While doing so, she took the opportunity to speak with some of the knights. When one of the wheels of the wagon broke, Fluder solved the issue by using his magic to repair it. She listened to the aged magic caster give a lecture to those in the company to not to rely too much on attack spells but to also learn some practical spells as well. Once the Azerlisia Mountains came into view she and Honesty were in awe of the spectacle. Later the group detected hundreds of goblins heading to their location. Nemel agreed with Jet's proposal to negotiate with the goblins as it seemed more likely that the demi-humans were fleeing something. To get their attention, she worked with Honesty and the knights to corral the goblins.

Later after hearing from the goblins about a pair of Gigant Basilisks in the area the group allowed the demi-humans to leave. Before they could retreat themselves from the area, Nabe pointed that one of the beasts found them, as sight which caused Nemel to scream.
