Nazarick Master Guarders (ナザリック・マスターガーダー) are one of two sub-classes of undead related to Nazarick Old Guarders, alongside Elder Guarders.
Appearance[]
Nazarick Master Guarders are equipped with a shiny, golden, full-body armor, and hold lustrous spears in their hands. They're also draped in dazzling fresh red capes.
Background[]
Nazarick Master Guarders are a special kind of undead that originates from the Great Tomb of Nazarick. They are a part of its defense system, tasked with defending it from any invaders.
Although they are confined to Nazarick in YGGDRASIL, the Master Guarders could still leave the tomb if ordered upon coming to the New World.

The Lizard Man Heroes Arc[]

After Cocytus's failure in annihilating the Lizardmen Alliance of the Great Lake, Ainz decided, through convincing Cocytus and Demiurge, to change his plan from destruction to occupation. Thus, he called forth Nazarick Master Guarders alongside three thousand Nazarick Old Guarders and Nazarick Elder Guarders as a show of superior military force to the Lizardmen Alliance.[1]
The Witch of the Falling Kingdom Arc[]

In preparation for the siege on the Re-Estize Kingdom's capital, Ainz decided to send out the Nazarick Master Guarders and the other elite guards.[2]
Abilities[]
Nazarick Master Guarders are ranked above Nazarick Old Guarders and Elder Guarders, the former of whom are stated to be at least as strong as mithril-ranked Adventurers.
Trivia[]
- They are the strongest Pop NPC of Nazarick shown so far.
- In the Anime, Master Guarders were present during Emperor Jircniv's visit to Nazarick.
- This differs from the Light Novel, where all kinds of inhabitants of Nazarick were present.
