Nazami is a tall and corpulent man with dark tanned skin, dark brown eyes, short grey hair, and an x-shaped scar on his chin. His overall appearance reinforces his image of a stoic person.
The fact that Nazami immediately took action when Aura and Mare invaded the Imperial Palace indicates that he was very devoted to his duty. In the Anime, he also appeared to have been a rather stoic individual. In the Mass for the Dead continuity, more of he is shown to be compassionate and caring towards the knights under his command, seeing as a single knight to be vital to the Empire.
Like the other Four Imperial Knights, he was selected by Jircniv to be a member due to his skills rather than his background.
