Nazaire (ナズル) was a citizen of the Slane Theocracy.
Appearance[]
Nazaire was described as a plump woman.
Personality[]
Nazaire was described as a kind woman with a somewhat timid personality.
Background[]
Nazaire was the housemaid and cook for the God-kin Faine and her daughter Antilene Heran Fouche.
By the time Antilene reached adulthood, Nazaire had already passed away.
Chronology[]
The Half Elf God-kin Arc[]
- Main article: The Half Elf God-kin Arc
Antilene had a dream of the time when she was raised by Faine. It showcased the woman’s utter physical abuse in what she called training. Nazaire who was present in the memory attempted to distract Faine from further training, trying to use Antilene’s injuries as an excuse to take a break. The housemaid then offered to prepare drinks, though Faine ignored the housemaid and proceeded to use healing magic on her daughter and resume ‘training’.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
Nazaire was not reported to have any special abilities. Her only specialities seemed to be housekeeping and cooking. Her cooking in particular was used as a standard when judging other food by her charge Antilene.
Relationships[]
Faine[]
Nazaire was a subordinate of Faine that acted as her housemaid and cook. Despite being subservient to Faine, Nazaire was willing to voice her concerns to Faine and look her in the eye, albeit in a polite way, in regards to Faine’s ‘training’. Though she was still powerless to disobey Faine.
Antilene Heran Fouche[]
The girl affectionately called her Aunt Nazaire. Antilene loved her cooking, especially her runny omelettes. Unlike Faine, Nazaire acted more as a mother to Antilene than her real mother. Nazaire was distressed by Faine’s treatment of Antilene and tried to subtly intervene to mitigate some of Antilene’s hardship. Even after her passing, Antilene still treasured her memory of her kind hearted caregiver, with her continuing to honor her by using her cooking as the golden standard when evaluating food served to her.
Trivia[]
- Due to Nazaire standing up to Faine, Antilene suspected that Nazaire was not just an ordinary woman.
Quotes[]
- (To Faine): “P-please hold, Faine-sama. She is still a child. It’s not good to continue her training in this state”
