Apparently, Longinus' use was recorded in a video clip. An unknown player who was planning to retire had attached an item to an important NPC. Though most of the video contained a collection of curses by the player after seeing that World Item in action.
The World Item, Longinus enables the user to pick whichever target to delete or remove from existence. However, it came with a cost where the user must pay the same price like the target as they had to also delete oneself. After having the character's data deleted by this World Item, unless another World Item was used for revival, there was no other way to come back alive.
In other words, it was impossible to restore the data of anyone deleted by that World Item if one did not use the resurrection powers of other World Items. Neither Cash Items nor resurrection spells would effectively work. In case someone were to use Longinus on a Custom NPC, it would even reduce the maximum levels of NPCs created, the special feature of a guild base.
- According to Christian lore, the Spear of Longinus was used to stab Jesus Christ and was drenched with his blood. This name was taken from the Roman centurion, who thrust the spear into Christ's side at the crucifixion.
- Suzuki Satoru believes the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord's [Soulbreaker Breath] is comparable to Longinus.
