King Hougan is the tentative name for Decem Hougan's father, who was one of the Eight Greed Kings.

Personality[]

Not much is known of his personality other than that fact that he was the father of Decem Hougan, who based on his own personality, was not raised well by his father, as it seems he did not teach him about decency or manners. And considering that he and his group conquered the world, it is likely that he had a desire for conquest and control, something that was also passed to his son.

Background[]

He was a former YGGDRASIL player who, along with seven other players, were transported to the New World five hundred years ago. During that time, they conquered the world and caused the near extinction of True Dragon Lords that declared war on them. They had somehow helped disseminate knowledge of tier magic throughout the world, thus allowing everyone to be able to access and use it.

His player race was that of a Forest Elf and had at least fathered one child, who later established his own kingdom in the Great Forest of Evasha, and had left behind at least some of his YGGDRASIL gear to his son. Eventually, he along with his fellow Greed Kings were killed following what is said to be a personal war due to their own greed for power.

Chronology[]

The Half Elf God-kin Arc[]

Main article: The Half Elf God-kin I and The Half Elf God-kin II Arc

The elf is recalled by his son when he went to confront the Holocaust Scripture after they killed his daughter Rugi. Though he was more motivated in retrieving his father’s equipment than avenging his child.[1]

After losing to Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore’s summon, Decem fled for his life to his quarters. There he was met by his estranged daughter, Antilene Heran Fouche,

Before he was assassinated by Antilene, Decem originally thinking that Aura and Mare were his grandchildren from the children he sired, reconsidered his presumption due to Antilene’s presence, having forgotten his rape of the former trump card of the Black Scripture. Whilst he lay dying, to explain their existence to himself, he believed that maybe the dark elves and his attacker were possibly members of another branch of his family, like from his half-siblings sired by his father. Though he thought it was impossible, but it seemed to be the most logical answer before he died.[2]

Abilities and Powers[]

According to his son, he was an Elven Hero known as the strongest Fencer, which would make him someone of the light armor warrior-class. it was said that he was capable of slaughtering Dragon Lords with ease and he was the only one strong enough to beat his Behemot before he met Ainz.

Job Classes[]

Items[]

  • Ring of Lesser Resurrection: A Resurrection item that allowed one to revive themselves upon death, but with each resurrection the item’s value would decrease.
  • Large Bow: A Bow Weapon.
  • Quiver: A Magic item that never runs out of arrows.

Relationships[]

Decem Hougan[]

His son greatly admires and respects his father and it is because of him that Decem himself believes that Elves are the strongest race. In Decem's point of view, his father's existence was proof that elves could even defeat Dragon Lords and were meant to conquer the world, so he's trying to create an army of powerful children in order to reclaim what he considers to be their right to rule, just like his father did back in the past. However, his father neglected to teach him much about basic mannerisms or self control. His father did care about him enough to leave behind several of his YGGDRASIL Items to help him and give him additional powers and abilities.

Trivia[]

  • It is hinted that he was the one who gave his son's Primal Earth Elemental summon the nickname Behemot after a famous raid boss from the game.
  • He is the first known member of the Eight Greed Kings confirmed to had children in the New World.
  • According to Decem, his title of Eight Greed King was given not in praise, but in scorn from his enemies as a way to bury their actual great deeds.
  • It is possible that he neglected to properly raise his son as he was killed before he could do so, as elves take a long time to mature and by time he would be old enough to rule, he was long gone and with no other individual to match his power, he was free to do as much as he pleased.
