King (キング) is a job class that hailed originally from the New World. However, other people can be recognized as King even without possessing the class.

Background

Kings are the sovereign heads of monarchies that rule feudal states of the New World. Kings are described as individuals as being calm and having a poised attitude.[1] In addition kings like tribal chieftains spoke with authority.[2]

Certain rules govern the succession of king; if a king were to die, the first prince would succeed the throne while a princess would be used to secure a political alliance through marriage.[3]

Abilities and Powers

Although a king wasn't necessarily stronger than everything else, it was common sense in the New World that having the moniker of "king" meant that it was the strongest of the race.[4] In a peasant's view, kings were associated with wealth, knowledge and power and were those that stood at the top.[5] In a more political sense, a king is the head of a independent state whose right to rule is dictated by birth, having the ability to offer lordship to lands and was far above the station of nobles.[6] A king's power afford him to rule over the nobles who swore their service to their liege. However it is not uncommon for power struggles to exist between the nobility and royal family of the king thus limiting his power and influence over his kingdom.
