Kaire irving (カイレ) was the user of the World Item, Downfall of Castle and Country, from the Slane Theocracy in the New World.
Appearance
Kaire was an elderly woman wearing a silver-colored traditional Cheongsam embroidered with a golden colored dragon.
Personality
Almost nothing is known about Kaire's personality. However, considering the fact that she belongs to the Slane Theocracy country then it means that she is a religious woman who believes in their creed about the human supremacy and the persecution of other "lesser" races.
Chronology
The Bloody Valkyrie Arc

As Kaire was accompanying the Black Scripture, they were attacked by one of Shalltear Bloodfallen's summoned kin, which they easily killed. After Shalltear made her appearance, Kaire tries to brainwash Shalltear with her
Kaire activating her World Item.
Downfall of Castle and Country. Shalltear senses the immediate danger and targets her with Purifying Javelin. As she launched the projectile right at Kaire, Cedran steps in-between them and attempts to block the attack with his shield. However, the javelin easily pierced through him and his shield, inflicting a severe injury on Kaire, effectively preventing her from completing the mind control.[1]
The Lizard Man Heroes Arc

Kaire barely survived her confrontation with Shalltear, and it was reported that there are now people trying to mend her wounds. However, her recovery rate is slow due to Shalltear's Cursed Knight class that renders wounds hard to heal.[2]
The Ruler of Conspiracy Arc

During the meeting of the highest authorities of the Slane Theocracy, it was mentioned that Lady Kaire had succumbed to her wounds and died.[3]

Mass for the Dead Arc
- Main article: Mass for the Dead Arc
Kaire assisted the Black Scripture in hunting down the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth after he attacked E-Rantel and was driven away by the protagonist. The demon led them to the Katze Plains where they lost him, remaining there at the captain's instance even though the target escape. By accident, they inadvertently encounter Shalltear passing through the area causing a conflict.[4]
Kaire managed to activate her World Item and take control of Nazarick. However before the spell could be fully cast, she was injured by Shalltear. The Scripture fled from the battlefield. Once at a safe location the 11th Seat of the Black Scripture tried to heal her wound but found that it would not heal correctly due to the wound being made from a cursed weapon. It was later reported by the Six Cardinals that she succumbed to her injuries and died.[5]
Abilities and Powers
As the user of Downfall of Castle and Country, Kaire can mind control even a target with perfect resistance to mind control; yet, her own combat capability seems low due to her old age.
Relationships
Captain of the Black Scripture
Kaire seems to have a high social status as the Captain of the Black Scripture addresses her as 'Lady Kaire.'

- She is the first person to use a World Item in the Overlord series before Aura Bella Fiora.
