Item Box is a dimensional space that YGGDRASIL players use to store their items.
Description[]
Originally a tool for YGGDRASIL Players to store their loot and equipment, in the New World it functions as a pocket dimension.[1]
Appearance[]
A palm-sized dark, purplish portal that opens up in the fabric of space and time when a player puts their hand in.
Abilities[]
Item Box allows people to store or place various sorts of items within. It seems to possess a limitless amount of space. It is extremely useful for storing different items needed based on the situation. It is also possible for a high-level thief to steal from it, though the limit of loot would be one or two items per player.
New Worlders (or at the very least, low level ones) are seemingly incapable of seeing the portal of the item box, with users repeatedly appearing to summon items from nowhere.
In the Web Novel, it was said the Item Box has the ability to contain an infinite amount of items without limit. Though the dimensional space did not allow for items to be activated within it.[2]
Trivia[]
- The first time Ainz used the Item Box in the New World, was when Momonga put his hand into the item box to take out the Pitcher of Endless Water to give Aura and Mare a drink.
- Momon used it to simultaneously take out numerous types of Magic Scrolls for Nabe to use during their attempt to safely pinpoint the location of the kidnappers.[3]
- NPCs also possess their own Item Boxes, allowing them to call forth various stored equipment.
- Players could expand their item box spaces by using cash items, however, an NPC's item box was still limited.[4]
