Isekai Quartet 3 Episode 04

Chaos! Cooking Class! (混乱！ちょうりじっしゅう Konran! Chōri Jisshū) is the fourth episode of Isekai Quartet 3. It was first broadcasted on November 3, 2025.

Summary[]

In the school's CE room, Erich questions what he is seeing. Believing he is talking about the boxes in the room, Wiz answers that they are ingredients for Class 2's upcoming home economic class. However, Erich reveals that what has him perplexed is Wiz herself, as she is currently tied up and hanging from the ceiling. Vanir then comes in and explains that he put her there as punishment for wasting money on expensive ingredients like pasta, mantis shrimp, octopus, softshell turtle, duck, chicken, sea urchins, clams, truffles, roe, a wheel of cheese, bacon, shark fins, etc. instead of just simple dishes such as curry and egg dishes. As Vanir prepares to shoot Wiz with his Vanir-Style: Murder Beams after she argued that she paid from her own pocket, Erich assures her that he cannot harm her due to the rules of this world, but he shoots her anyway.

Later when Class 2 is having home economics class, Tanya is initially disappointed in having to cook pasta as her fellow students open a box filled with packets of pasta, a sentiment shared with her squad. Wiz still hanging from the ceiling, instruction of home economics is started by Vanir who then splits the class into five groups. After the groups are formed, Wiz instructs the students to boil the pasta.

Tanya though has an issue, as it seems that there is something moving in the pasta packets. At first she thinks there are insects inside, but when she opens a packet, Tanya is surprised to find the noodles are alive, which Wiz boasts because it is fresh. In another group Kazuma is not bothered by this, tells the rest of Class 2 that cooking with such living ingredients is normal in his world, citing there are living lettuce and cabbages that could kill you.

Though some like Subaru, in a separate group from Tanya and Kazuma, states that different have strange ideas on what is normal. Tanya still trying to get her around the concept of living noodles, asks Subaru if such foodstuffs are alive in his world. To which the male student states no. She is relieved to hear this, and then is about to call out to Ainz from his table if this is also the case in his original world, but thinks better than asking him, a talking skeleton, as from what she can deduce, anything can be alive in his world.

Otto proceeds to dump a bunch of living noodles into a pot of boiling water, to which they start screaming before going silent. Seeing the disturbing sight of the food dying, Otto thinks that some people might feel guilt when cooking the noodles. Albedo who is also in his group, states it is the strong who decide whether the weak live or die. It is a fundamental rule, to which Aqua agrees, stating that their job as a group is to make sure the the lives of the food are put to delicious use.

Once the cooking dishes and equipment are in the sink, the food dishes have been finished. Megumin's group is first to present a a seafood dish called "Explosion Luxury Seafood Pasta." The second is Albedo's group which is a whole chicken dish stuffed with pasta called "Devil-Style Chicken Cream Pasta" or as Aqua insists on calling it "Goddess-Style Chicken Cream Pasta." The third dish is a basic one made by Subaru's group, "Japanese-style mayonnaise pasta." The fourth dish by Tanya is described as an "ordinary" pasta dish, if ordinary included, sea urchin roe and black truffles with help from Emilia. And the one made by Kazuma which is pasta with bacon, egg and cheese.

Wiz then instructs each group to taste their own dish, and then go around to taste the other groups' dishes. Some like Grantz finds it hard to have an appetite, after seeing the pasta squirm. Megumin though points out that it shouldn't be a problem now, though that is not the case when Grantz sees a plate of the seafood pasta move on its own. When Grantz point this out, Megumin having not seen the pasta move thinks the young man is seeing things, as if the pasta were moving then it would be zombie pasta. However the seafood pasta then begins to move before the student, flying and swirling into the air, creating a vaguely humanoid form with specks of flame on it. There dish is not alone as the other pasta dishes soon come to life.

Rem calmly seeing this unfold asks Ainz if zombies are disgusting, to which Ainz finds a bit uncalled for given he is also an undead. But seeing the zombified food before them, Ainz has to agree with the maid. The cream pasta then begins spawning smaller versions of itself. Albedo being relatively calm, is asked by Koenig on why she is so. To which the demoness states smugly that since these entities are zombies the first one they will attack is Aqua. Aqua soon finds herself being chased by the cream pasta zombie, forcing her to jump out of the classroom window to escape. Albedo, Koenig and Otto then decide to help the goddess and go after the pair.

Meanwhile, Darkness is taking pleasure being grabbed by a pasta zombie before it kidnaps her crashing through another window. Neumann and Aura then pursue the pasta zombie to rescue their classmate, along with Subaru and Beatrice following in the air. The rest of the class deal with the remaining pasta zombies and their spawn. Rem tries to use her ball and chain to behead one, but it simply regrows its head. Garfiel and Rem carry out bludgeoning attacks on the seafood pasta zombies finally.

The pasta zombie made by Tanya and her group, having grown ice attacks them. Mare and Emila manages to use a spatula and frying pan to block the attacks, while, Tanya, Weiss and Shalltear watch from the sidelines confused on what is going on. Cocytus and his group have successfully taken care of the pasta zombie they made with ease, which disappoints the former. Demiurge though thinks it was so weak because it lacked special ingredients.

Outside the class room, the other students have succeeded in destroying the pasta zombies they were pursuing, saving Aqua and Darkness. The rest of the students the begin cleaning up the classroom from the mess. Wiz then tells the students once they throw out the garbage, class will be over. Subaru though wonders aloud why the pasta became zombiefied. Ainz tries to think of an answer, though Demiurge believes he already knows much to his confusion, as well as the others. Meanwhile Visha tries to sneak a taste of the spilled pasta much to Tanya's disgust.
