I Want to be a Pet! (ペッドになりたい!) by Seta U (瀬田U) is the forty-ninth chapter of the Overlord Official Comic A La Carte series.

Summary Edit

Albedo demands to be Ainz Ooal Gown's before a meeting with her master and the other Floor Guardians. Ainz is at a loss for words, to which Albedo continues that she wishes to become Ainz's second pet, Hamsuke already claiming the title as first. Shalltear Bloodfallen interjects declaring that to be cheating along with Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore. Ainz watching the vampire and demon fight for the position of pet is confused as to why anyone would want the position. Pandora's Actor arrives and offers himself as his pet, turning into his cat form but is rejected. Hamsuke is frustrated by the fuss as only she can be qualified as their master's pet. This earns her glares from Shalltear and Albedoe who agree that they should skin the rodent. But when Hamsuke brings up that he serves as a nimble mount, the two women demand that Ainz sit on them and tell them who is more comfortable. Ainz tries to explain that they are like his children and refuse to treat the like pets. Demiurge soon arrives scolding the Floor Guardians for this behavior. But Albedoe pointed out that Demiurge also stated that he wanted to be Ainz's pet. The demon admits to this as who in Nazarick not wish it? A chorus of agreements come from the Pleiades and even Sebas Tian. Demiurge asks that Ainz commands them like pets much to his headache. Having enough Ainz uses [Hand] which causes Albedo and Shalltear to collapse. Rather than pain they feel joy at being ordered, putting Ainz at ill ease. He asks Demiurge if this treatment is what he wants, causing the demon to reconsider. Hamsuke shakes its head stating all of them are jealous because Ain pets her. Ainz states if they want to be petted they don't have to be his pet. The next day the Floor Guardians are now all attached to him to fulfill their new duty: being petted by Ainz.
