Holy Kingdom Liberation Army Base (解放軍拠点) was the former headquarters of the Holy Kingdom Liberation Army at its inception.
Background[edit | edit source]
The area was known to the paladins of the Paladin Order because they had once been sent to exterminate a monster that made its lair there.
Chronology[edit | edit source]
The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom Arc[edit | edit source]
- Main article: The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom Arc
After the Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown agreed to aid the Liberation forces to regain the Northern Holy Kingdom, he was escorted to the hidden base of the resistance force. Upon arriving at the Liberation Army's hidden base, Ainz discovers that the army faces several issues that needed to be addressed. This includes not hiding their tracks, a new base of operations, as it is believed by Ainz that the current location may already be compromised by the demi-humans. In addition to that, their food supplies are running low and winter is nearly upon them. To increase the strength of the Liberation Army, Remedios put forth a plan to liberate the captured Holy Kingdom citizens from the nearby prison camps and gather any food supplies that the demi-humans possessed and continue onto the next to a nearby occupied city. Their first target, a village that was turned into a prison camp by the Bafolk and is located furthest from the Army's hidden base.
Layout[edit | edit source]
The base was a natural cave in a mountain located in the Northern Holy Kingdom. In one corner of the cave, there was an underground spring. And while the ceiling was not high, it was very spacious, enough to allow a horse and carriage to enter. In addition, mushrooms, which emitted bluish-white light sprouted everywhere and were around half the height of a man. After remnants of the Paladin Order fled to the cave, they refurbished the place, dividing it into several sectors for different purposes such as making proper sleeping quarters. Thanks to the trees around the mountains, each around a hundred meters tall, the resistance force was able to make simple furnishings and furniture.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When Ainz Ooal Gown visited the base, he found the place to be off-putting as the illumination from the mushrooms created monstrous shadows that danced on the walls and caused Neia Baraja look like a corpse.
