Heavenly Dragon Lord (ヘブンリー・ドラゴンロード) is a Dragon Lord, one of the most powerful dragons in the New World.

According to Maruyama, Heavenly Dragon Lord's size is comparable to that of a large island floating in the sky.

Based on Tsaindoruks Vaision’s impression of the Heavenly Dragon Lord, it seems that this dragon is mostly detached with the events of the New World.

Heavenly Dragon Lord was one of the Dragon Lords who did not participate in the war fought with his fellow colleagues against the Eight Greed Kings. It is unclear whether this meant that the Dragon Lord was born after the battle or it simply ignored the war entirely. Heavenly Dragon Lord was luckily one of the few strongest dragons left in the New World to have never fall prey to the said group of players as most of his brethren were massacred to the point of extinction. Either way, it has managed to stay alive all this while from that horrific event taken place five centuries ago until the present setting of the Overlord series. According to Platinum Dragon Lord, Heavenly Dragon Lord is constantly flying high in the sky all the time.

Platinum Dragon Lord doubted whether it will help them in the fight against the new hostile existences from YGGDRASIL.[1]

Abilities and Powers

Heavenly Dragon Lord was said to be so big in stature that it possesses its own ecosystem.[2]

  • In a complimentary pamphlet for one of the Overlord Movies, Maruyama stated that the Heavenly Dragon Lord's body is more of an adventure-laden place than a living being. It is kind of similar to the True Dragons from the famous RPG game "RuneQuest," which in the game are said to be several miles long with geographical features.
  • Those who have seen it are usually overcome by shock. With time, they later start paying the dragon less mind. Such people who happen to venture there are never heard from ever again.
  • The Heavenly Dragon Lord is the biggest known entity in the new world so far, dwarfing even Zy'tl Q'ae.
