In Mass for the Dead, while reaching the "first sunrise" of the Azerlisia Mountains, Momonga and his companions noted that they had all three auspicious items that were considered particularly lucky on New Year's: the mountains, a Frost Dragon, and an eggplant which was roughly close enough to the original items of New Year: Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Some character is Overlord have been compared to have eyes like those of a hawk, such as Sebas Tian and Gazef Stronoff.[4][5][6] And a magic caster inspector at E-Rantel.
  • In the Web Novel, the nobles of the Baharuth Empire like hawks, when Archduke Ainz Ooal Gown made his appearance at a party hosted by the emperor.[7].
  • There is a 2nd tier magic spell called [Hawk Eye], that allows one to watch the surroundings from the sky.[8][9][10]
  • In Overlord: The Undead Oh!, Ainz wanting to distance himself from being seen as a singing adventurer tried to impress Pandora's Actor to refrain from humming to himself as Momon. Pandora's Actor understands things Ainz wishes to withdraw from the scene as Momon, as in his words "the talented hawk hides its claws", which means that one should hide one's abilities until the time is right to show.[11]
