Gokou (ゴコウ) is a goblin soldier and a member of Enri Emmot's Goblin Troop.
Appearance[]
In the Anime Gokou resembles Kaijali, though he lacks a facial scar like the former.
Personality[]
Like most in the Goblin Troop, Gokou is both disciplined and professional in his duties.
Background[]
Enri Emmot used the Horn of the Goblin General to summon Gokou and his brethren. Thanks to their help, they came to support her and Carne Village in rebuilding and protecting its inhabitants.
Chronology[]
The Two Leaders Arc[]

Gokou along with his two comrades, Unlai and Kaijali were part of an escort assigned by Jugem to protect Enri and Nfirea Bareare while they collected herbs in the Great Forest of Tob. When a goblin child came running, being chased by a Barghest, the goblins' first instinct was to protect their charges. Gokou followed Enri's orders to save the goblin child. The three goblins surrounded the creature, which caused it to try to use the goblin child as a hostage, only for the goblins to call its bluff. The goblins managed to lure it into a glue trap made by Nfirea and successfully slay it.
Later the group returned to Carne Village with the goblin child, who introduced him as Agu. They were greeted by the sudden appearance of Lupusregina Beta. Upon reaching the house where the Goblin Troop stayed, they were joined by Brita. Together they learned of the chaotic situation of the Tob Forest, and the existence of the Demon Snake of the West and the Giant of the East.[1]
The Magic Caster of Destroy Arc[]

During the Kingdom's annual war with the Baharuth Empire, Carne Village was faced with another threat in the form of Crown Prince Barbro. Gokou and the other goblins and ogres defended the village whilst the villagers escaped.[2]

Mass for the Dead Arc[]

Gokou and his Goblin Troop were summoned by the protagonist who acquired the Horn of the Goblin General from Momonga to assist him in his new duties as Territory Guardian of E-Rantel. Due to the undercover Nazarick agent being hailed as a hero for saving E-Rantel from the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth their participation into the city affairs were accepted by the inhabitants.[3]
During E-Rantel's Harvest Festival, Gokou was seen with Jugem and Kaijali in the streets partaking in the festivities of the event.[4]
After several Cracks opened directly in E-Rantel bringing forth innumerable Chaos Beasts and panic on the streets, Gokou and his troop tried to lead a defense of the city only fail and retreat. He and what remained of his troop were found by the protagonist and his comrades whilst taking cover from the roaming Chaos Beasts. The goblins allowed the party to rest with them for awhile before with protagonist and comrades moved on to reach the E-Rantel Magic Research Institute.[5]
In the aftermath of what became known as the Calamity of Cracks, Gokou survived and was present at the second E-Rantel's Harvest Festival now stylized as a Halloween Festival that originated from the Sorcerer Kingdom. He was seen patrolling the streets with Kaijali during the festivities.[6]
Abilities and Powers[]
Gokou is a level 8 goblin soldier. He is equipped with a chain shirt, a round shield and a sturdy machete which hangs from his belts.

Enri Emmot[]
Like all the summoned goblins, Gokou is fiercely loyal to Enri Emmot.
Trivia[]
- In the Anime during the Emmot family’s breakfast, Gokou is the one to first declare that he will marry Enri.
