GA Non-Canon: REMINDER! This page is considered as among one of the many pure game contents found exclusive in Mass for the Dead only. It includes the new standalone characters that had a first-time appearance in the game. Meanwhile, the old characters had a different role and fate than from the main storyline in the official books. For that reason, it has no connections to the canon story materials of Overlord Light Novel series. The content that you had read here are based on the Overlord mobile game.

Giant Lizard is a monster species that recently migrated to the northern region of the Great Lake in Mass for the Dead.

Appearance[]

The monster is reptilian, reminiscent of a crocodile with red scales and six orange stone spikes running along its back.

Abilities[]

An endothermic species, this species did not inhabit the lower part of the Great Lake due to the low temperature. After these monsters were mutated by inhaling the noxious fumes of a Crack, their aggression heightened. In addition, when numerous quantities of Heatstones spilled into the Great Lake from the Azerlisia Mountains, it caused the water to heat up and allow these creatures to use it as a breeding ground. They proceeded to eat the ores for digestion, causing their temperatures to increase and them going on a rampage. They also appear to be able to exhale heat from their mouths and making them dangerous enemies to ice-type monsters like Frost Dragons.

Trivia[]

  • In Mass for the Dead, Zaryusu Shasha sought aid to find out why the temperature of the Great Lake was rising. Later with the help of the NPCs from the Great Tomb of Nazarick, the deposits of Heatstones were discovered in the stomach of these monsters. The ores were retrieved and used to complement the golems guarding the baths in Spa Resort Nazarick.[1]
  • As the game's main story progresses into the Azerlisia Mountains, its revealed hordes of these monsters had overrun the underground environment and even preyed on the Quagoa. Feo Jera was also overrun by these monsters, forcing the citizens of the Dwarf Kingdom to seek shelter in Feo Berkana under the protection of Olasird'arc Haylilyal. However the dragon had since been killed and the lizards were already at the city gates, until a delegation for the Sorcerer Kingdom drove the monsters off.[2]
  • In the Light Novel, it is said that Giant Lizards could be ridden.[3]
