GA Non-Canon: REMINDER! This page is considered as among one of the many pure game contents found exclusive in Mass for the Dead only. It includes the new standalone characters that had a first-time appearance in the game. Meanwhile, the old characters had a different role and fate than from the main storyline in the official books. For that reason, it has no connections to the canon story materials of Overlord Light Novel series. The content that you had read here are based on the Overlord mobile game.

Giant Crustacean (巨大甲殻生物) was a crab monster from the New World that appeared in Mass for the Dead.

Appearance[]

A giant crab with a hard shell and claws. Some can grow to be quite large, enough to fill the passage of a cavern.

Abilities[]

These creatures can grow in size due to continuous undisturbed molting over time.

Trivia[]

  • This creature initially did not actually make an appearance, in the game, though it is killed off-screen in the game by the Pleiades. However in the reprint event it was added in.
  • One was blocking a passage to a hidden pirate hideout on a deserted island. According to Solution Epsilon, based on one specimen it's shell was elastic and looked quite new, indicating it may have recently molted. It was nocturnal, and emerged from the cave at night, and may have been over two hundred years old as it was used by pirates as a living door for their hideout.[1]
  • Later in another special event, giant crabs were featured though they were of a smaller variant found in the seaside of the Re-Estize Kingdom.[2]
  • Éclair Éklair Éklare and Kyouhukou as an entry for a swimsuit for Cocytus, had him wear a giant shell, making him look like a giant hermit crab.[3]
  • On an island near the Mysterious Island, Chaos Beasts that spawned from Crack appeared. However due to lacking any powerful prey and intelligent beings to hunt, the Chaos Beasts targeted the local wildlife such as the Giant Crustaceans.[4]
