Background[]
Frost Giants are one of two apex predators that live in the Azerlisia Mountain range. Their population consists of several tribes spread about all over the region. They have been constantly fighting with the Frost Dragons for a long time in a struggle over the complete domination of the entire mountain range.[1]
Appearance[]
Frost Giants are extremely tall with a humanoid body. Their skin is bluish-white, while their hair and mustaches are white.
Abilities[]
Frost Giants are immune to cold and are thus immune to the Frost Dragons' of icy dragon breath. In contrast, they are weak to fire.
The maximum amount of HP differed between an ordinary human and a Frost Giant, and likewise the amount of recovery would appear to be different.[2]
Trivia[]
- It's stated that the Frost Dragons who had lost to the Frost Giants were used as hounds by them.
- They are the first type of Giants confirmed to exist in the New World.
- Some of the Frost Giants from the Azerlisia Mountains are tasked with the job of cleaning the two statues of Ainz Ooal Gown in front of the gate of E-Rantel within the Sorcerer Kingdom.[3]
- In Mass for the Dead, frost giants were said to still live in the peaks of the Azerlisia Mountains. During a New Year's event, Momonga mentioned their status, and considered climbing up the mountains and even slaughtering them to the "first sunrise", though admitted doing so would have killed the holiday mood.[4]
