Fenn (フェン) is a Fenrir, a holy beast, and one of Aura's pets.

Appearance

Fenn is a giant black wolf with bright fur, with crimson eyes that seem to burn and were full of intelligence.

Personality

Fenn appears to be a very loyal type when it comes to the creature's master, Aura. According to Aura, the beast is rather intelligent. Though he could not talk he was able to convey its emotions through physical gestures such as bowing his head to clearly conveyed an apology.

Background

Fenn was one of Aura's many pets that she has in her menagerie.

The Dark Warrior Arc

In the Southern Tob Forest, Fenn and Quadracile assisted their mistress Aura in locating the Wise King of the Forest on orders of Ainz Ooal Gown.

The Two Leaders Arc

Fenn was present with Aura when Shalltear and Albedo visited the 6th Floor for some girl time. Later, Fenn would provide transportation for both his mistress and Ainz to the lair of the Giant of the East.

The Craftsman of Dwarf Arc

Fenn was one of Aura's beasts selected to accompany Ainz, Aura, Shalltear, and Zenberu to the Dwarf Kingdom. He was also the one Aura personally used to ride on.

Shalltear's Travel Diary Arc

During the night when Ainz's entourage, while heading to the Dwarf Kingdom, camps out in a fortress he created, Shalltear and Aura exchange stories of who they imagine being useful to their master. In Aura's fantasy, it involves Ainz in a once in a million mistake he's made in which he is surrounded on all sides by a million monsters. There in that instance, Aura rides on Fenn leading her own beasts to save the day, and have him ride with her to bring him away to safety.

The Witch of the Falling Kingdom Arc

Main article: The Witch of the Falling Kingdom Arc

During the Sorcerer Kingdom's invasion of the Royal Capital, Fenn was part of Aura's menagerie of pets that climbed the city's walls. The appearance of him and his fellow magical beasts terrified the city guards who fled in terror. Though the other beasts had yet to receive orders to hunt and chase down their prey, Iris went on ahead and used her Petrifying Roar, killing all the humans in the vicinity. This earned her a beat down by her peers for the noise she caused. Iris sought salvation from her master, Aura who then intercedes and orders her pets back in line. Fenn joined his master and peers in invading deeper into the capital to take over a few of the buildings. Following Aura's lead, he and the others caused mayhem and destruction, leaping from roof to roof, heading to the Magician's Guild.

The group encountered a group of six warriors and an old man barring their way to their destination. Aura after killing their leader with an arrow, order her pets to slaughter the rest.

The Half Elf God-kin Arc

Aura hearing that Ainz was coming with Lumière for an inspection of the 6th Floor, arrived with Fenn as her mount to meet the Supreme Being at the Amphitheater. The Fenrir served as their mode of transportation throughout the floor, taking them to the Field of Flowers and then the Gigantic Tree.

After Ainz decided to take a vacation to the Great Forest of Evasha, with Aura and Mare, Fenn accompanied them as well. He stood guard outside the Green Secret House while Ainz infiltrated the elven capital near Crescent Lake. When Ainz had returned via invisible, it senses his approached and welcomed the undead.

Once directions to the dark elf villages was found, Fenn carried Ainz, Mare and Aura on its back to their destination though were not able to find the village's exact location. Aura decided to scout ahead though was ordered by Ainz to take Fenn with her. The two then left Ainz and Mare behind at camp to search for the dark elf village. While searching through the forest, the two intruded onto the territory of the Ankyloursus Lord which tried to intimidate them. However neither Fenn or Aura were scared. Aura then proceeded to use the bear in an experiment and quickly captured. When it attempted to escape, Fenn pinned the bear on its back and allowed Aura to whip the other beast senseless until it was cowed in submission.

They returned back to camp with Aura riding the Ankyloursus Lord. When Ainz inquired why Aura decided to choose the bear to experiment on, and asked if perhaps the dark elf liked bears, which Fen took offense to, though was quickly calmed by his mistress. Later the Fenrir enjoyed a meal provided by Shihoutu Tokitu which was lump of cow meat.

Mass for the Dead Arc

Main article: Mass for the Dead Arc

Fenn was one of the casualties in Nazarick after the dungeon was transferred to the New World. He and all of Aura's pets were killed by an unknown enemy, leaving the dungeon in ruins caused by the latter's destruction. The wolf could not be revived yet as the funds for resurrection were needed for other priorities. Thus Aura had to tame wolves from outside of Nazarick to be used as familiars. His death and absence left Aura sadden but the pain motivated Aura not to drown in her despair but move forward for the sake of Nazarick and her master.

Abilities and Powers

As a Fenrir, he is capable of hastening his movement over land. Fenn has the ability to pass through the earth, so he doesn't get caught up on any thorny paths or environments like a forest. The effect also extends to its riders and their possessions. It is estimated to be level 78.

Fenn was noted to be unable to completely sense someone being hidden by [Perfect Unknowable], but still managed to vaguely guess someone's location when they maintained [Perfect Unknowable].

Active

• Forestwalker: A skill that can allow a Fenrir to make all the trees, dense thickets, and such avoid the beast allow ease of movement through a forested area.

Relationships

Aura Bella Fiora

Aura is Fenn's master and thus he obeys her.

Quadracile

Fenn appears to have a good relationship with Quadracile and was seen playing with him at his introduction.

Mare Bello Fiore

Due to his intelligence, Fenn sometimes listens to Mare.

Trivia

• In the Web Novel, Fenn seems to dislike Rororo due to the attention Aura gives him.
