Fake Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown is a weak replica of the original. It was made as a prototype in replicating Ainz Ooal Gown's guild weapon.

Description[]

In the New World, to protect the staff from ever being stolen or destroyed, Ainz created this imperfect copy of it. In the meantime, he hid the real artifact somewhere in the 8th Floor’s Cherry Blossom Sanctuary of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. The fake guild weapon was supposedly made of parts dug from the depths of the Treasury.[1]

Appearance[]

The fake replica was described as a prop that looked almost perfect on the outside in contrast to the original. Nonetheless, it was a perfect cosmetic copy, down to the metal used in its construction. It was merely socketed with jewels that had the same color as the original.

Abilities[]

When wielded by Ainz, the staff is capable of emitting an aura of terror. According to Ainz, it did not possess even a tenth of the power of the original. Ainz could imbue the staff with a red glow, which quickly darkened as an adjustment function. Unlike the original, it did not seem to be linked to Ainz's own despair auras whatsoever.[2]

Trivia[]

  • While the original Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown is vastly superior to this fake one, it was kept hidden in the depths of Nazarick never to surface or be used.
