Fairies (羽妖精) are tiny humanoid beings that existed in YGGDRASIL and the New World.

Fairies were among the monsters that possessed beautiful appearances.
Appearance[]
Fairies are small humanoid beings with a height of a little finger. They possess butterfly wings enabling them to fly.
Abilities[]
In the Web Novel, fairy type monsters could use illusion magic.[1] They are confirmed to be heteromorphic beings, as spells which only affected humanoids and demihumans had no effect on them.[2]
Trivia[]
- During Ainz Ooal Gown's conquest of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Momonga used a spell that created a fairy to guide his party safely through the floor.[3]
- In the Hack And Slash Adventure book, adapted by Tabula Smaragdina, fairies are one of the races players encounter.[4]
- The Gnator are mistaken as fairies due to their similarities; in fact, they are a predatory species that prey on fairies.
- Fairies or fey are racial beings as confirmed by Ainz. Though it seems that the dark elves of the Great Forest of Evasha refer them to more as spiritual beings.[5]
- YGGDRASIL also had the concept of the Fey Blessing, though they Fey didn’t posses it naturally. Interestingly the dark elves once possessed, though it’s unclear if it’s the same concept.
- Some job class such as Unseelie Court and Seelie Court could be related to fairies.
