Djungarian Hamster is a race of hamsters found in the World of 2138 and the New World.

Background

The Djungarian Hamster seems to have its origin dating back to the World of 2138. Ainz recalled someone from his guild not logging onto YGGDRASIL for about a week because of that guild member’s pet Djungarian Hamster had died.

Appearance

According to Ainz Ooal Gown, a Djungarian Hamster's fur was said to be silvery, or rather, snow-white in color. Furthermore, the creature possessed black, round eyes. The body size differs among hamsters as Hamsuke, for instance, was described as being massive in stature.

Abilities

In Overlord: The Undead Oh!, more details on hamsters are revealed through a book called Living With Hamu-chan! An Encyclopedia For Raising Hamsters. According to the book, Djungarian Hamsters give birth to a litter of between five to ten infants, but a mother hamster's gestation period is two to three weeks with the potential to breed again almost immediately after giving birth.
