Crossbow (クロスボウ) was a ranged bow weapon found in YGGDRASIL and the New World.
Description[]
A medieval weapon used by armed forces to shoot arrows or bolts.
Appearance[]
A bow-like contraption that was mounted horizontally on a wooden stock with a trigger.
Abilities[]
Crossbows were trigger weapons that allowed for rapid fire. Though they were limited by the archery skill of the user and also by the amount of ammunition.[1]
Trivia[]
- The Treasury in the Great Tomb of Nazarick had a collection of various weapons, among included were crossbows.[2][3]
- Death Spreading Brigade tried to use these weapons against Shalltear Bloodfallen to no avail, when she was on her first mission outside Nazarick.[4][5]
- The Nazarick Old Guarders were equipped with crossbows as part of their arsenal.[6] And the imperial knights had them available for use, as did Barbro Andrean Ield Ryle Vaiself's force which he led to Carne Village.[7][8]
- Cocco Doll’s brothel had a secret entrance that was protected by a hidden trap using crossbow armed with a poisoned arrow.[9][10]
- Neia Baraja assumed CZ2128 Delta’s Magic Gun to be a form of crossbow.[11]
- In Mass for the Dead, the Malefic Spear was mistaken to be some sort of crossbow by the imperial knights were it was brought out against the Chaos Beasts.[12]
- Also in the game, CZ2128 Delta, in her Worker identity as "Shizuni", a prospective member of Six Arms, wields two crossbows that are attached to both her arms. They are unique as they have a built-in rotating quiver similar to a revolver and enables rapid shooting.[13]
- The Skeleton Sailors aboard the Steel War Maiden are armed with crossbows.[14]
