Cross is a tentative name for an item from YGGDRASIL.
Description
In E-Rantel, Ainz Ooal Gown changed his equipment to this item in order to summon angelic bodyguards to escort him through the human city.[1]
Appearance
In the Manga the item appears as a large wooden cross.
Abilities
When used in conjunction with the Crown of Thorns and the Japamala a player can use the Super-Tier Magic Pantheon and summon six Cherubim Gatekeepers.
To activate one needs to place the cross on its base.
Trivia
- In the Light Novel, the items that Ainz used for the Super-Tier Magic spell are never described, but the Manga provides visuals of the inferred items.[2]
- The item is a reference to the cross Jesus Christ carried and was used to be executed by the Romans.
- In the New World, the symbol of the cross is not identified as religious, hence why workers from the Workers Invasion could not understand the significance of tombstones with cross iconography.[3]
