Christmas Cake (クリスマスケーキ) was an item from YGGDRASIL that appeared in Mass for the Dead.

Description[]

A confectionery that is normally eaten on Christmas. Using a recipe from Ashurbanipal, several cakes were made for a Christmas party organized by Albedo for Momonga's pleasure.[1]

Appearance[]

A cake that seems to be composed of sponge cake, frosted with whipped cream, often decorated with strawberries.

Christmas cakes were made from cream, lemon juice and chocolate. Depending on the cook, they could have the option of possessing buff effects. In the game, a Christmas Cake can recover physical strength by the upper limit.

  • In Japan, Christmas cake is traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve. Apparently the sweets-making company, Fujiya, launched the first Christmas cake and started the popular modern tradition. The first Japanese Christmas cake was a fruitcake inspired by the British style Christmas cake made of whipped cream and decorated with strawberries.
  • Lupusregina Beta wears a Christmas Costume that includes a silver plate that can select and materialize consumable items with various effects. In her case, she chose a gorgeous cake, either because she wanted to liven up the Christmas party or because she just wanted to eat it.[2]
