During which the disciples were sent alongside their master to engage a Death Knight in the Katze Plains after it had slaughtered a squad of knights. The team managed to obtain victory as their master carpet bombed it with magic from above.[1] The undead was subdued and then transported to Arwintar for study. At the Ministry of Magic, Fluder arrived with two of his talented disciples after finding no success in learning about the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth. The disciples were cautioned about using magical means to investigate as it could be dangerous. The two also listened to their master muse that the demon was just the latest of strong beings to be coming into the world and wondered if a battle similar to when the Evil Deities would take place. The trio were greeted by the rest of the Chosen Thirty who then followed Fluder into restricted tower. They passed by the Empire's Undead Labor Project before heading to the underground chamber where a captured Death Knight was being held captive. Though apprehensive at the undead the group watch as their master tried to make the Death Knight submit to him with his 6th tier magic. The spell failed and left Fluder disappointed as he felt if he could succeed he would surpass Rigrit Bers Caurau. Though many of the disciples believed that their master had already surpassed the necromancer of the Thirteen Heroes.[3]

Several of the members of the Chosen Thirty accompanied their master on the imperial delegation to the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Many of them screamed in terror upon seeing the Death Knights that were acting as servants to the maids outside the dungeon. They were also sent in the Throne Room where they witnessed Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix apologize to Ainz Ooal Gown for the workers invading his home. The disciples learned of the awesome power Ainz and his subordinates possessed, and Jircniv in fear of their power forged an alliance with the Baharuth Empire.
After the diplomatic talks, most of the disciples traveled in Fluder's carriage to discuss what they had seen in Nazarick. One acolyte of the Chosen Thirty remained in the Emperor's carriage. When the Emperor came to the realization that Fluder may have sold the Empire to Ainz Ooal Gown, the acolyte at first believed it to be a joke, But when he saw how serious the Emperor was he told his liege that the ramifications were difficult to imagine for the empire as without Fluder their strength may be weakened.
The decision of Fluder being replaced as Imperial Court Wizard, brought out who should be his successor, the acolyte initially was willing to volunteer himself being the most skillful of the Chosen Thirty. However, when he learns that the position may require him to do battle with Ainz Ooal Gown, he quickly declined claiming that he was unsuited for the position despite being the most talented of the thirty.[4]
