Chocolate (チョコ) is food item from YGGDRASIL.
Description[]
Chocolate was a food item available in YGGDRASIL. It could be eaten as a solid or even used as a liquid.[1] On Valentine's Day, players were able to make chocolates for NPCs regardless if they had the Cook class.
Types of Chocolate[]
- Chilled Chocolate Confectionary: A shaved ice confection similar to chocolate gelato but enhanced with lightning magic.
- Chocolate Drink: A beverage made from chocolate.
- Chocolate Fountain: A dish of melting chocolate fondue used for dipping.
- Chocolate Layered Cake: A chocolate sponge cake cake made with sponge.
- Choco Pie: A chocolate pie with marshmallow.
- Couverture: A chocolate made with extra cocoa butter to give a high gloss for cakes.
- Crispy Delicious Bites: A lightning cooked sweet made with fondant chocolate.
- Fondant Chocolate: A molten chocolate cake.
- Gateau Chocolate: A cake flavored with melted chocolate, cocoa powder, or both.
- Golden Chocolate In A Bottle: A bottle of varied color-coated chocolate confectioneries.
- Healthy Blood Marriage: A bell pepper coated with chocolate.
- Honmei Choco: A chocolate given by women on Valentine's Day to men whom the giver has romantic feelings for.
- Natural Forest Chocolate: A sweet made of chocolate mixed with Longevity Nuts.
- Sticky Chocolate Cake: A brown color cake, sprinkled with gold powder made by the Patissier.[2]

In the Mass for the Dead game, chocolate was hinted to be part of a huge event. Though chocolate was a non-buff food with low value in Nazarick, to humans it was a rare high-class sweet confectionery.[3]
Unexpectedly it is later discovered that the substance is increases the strength of slimes, given its nutritiousness, also causes their numbers to explode.[4]

- Other types of chocolate, such as dark chocolate, which is said to be bitter, rather than sweet and for more mature tastes. On Valentine's Day, chocolate is a medium of exchange to people as an expression to loved ones.[6]
- In the game, chocolates were used to erase doubts on hosting a tournament for adventurers in E-Rantel.[7]
- In Isekai Quartet, Valentine's Day was hosted in the school world and chocolates were distributed among classmates.
- Chocolate can be used as a flavor for other foods like Christmas Cakes and bananas.[8][9][10]
- In the game chocolate was used by the Sorcerer Kingdom as an incentive to encourage warriors to fight in the exchange tournament hosted in E-Rantel. It also appears that before its introduction by Nazarick, chocolate was non-existent in the nations of the Tripartite Alliance.[11]

- For New Year's Day, Nazarick handed out gift bags of chocolate YGGDRASIL coins wrapped in gold foil.[17]
- In Mass for the Dead, chocolate was established as a specialty trade good of the Sorcerer Kingdom.[18]
- For the upcoming diplomatic relations with the world from which the Mercenary Knights hail from, the Sorcerer Kingdom considered using chocolate as a trade item, such as the ‘melt-resistant chocolate', before settling on swimsuits.[19]
