GA Non-Canon: REMINDER! This page is considered as among one of the many pure game contents found exclusive in Mass for the Dead only. It includes the new standalone characters that had a first-time appearance in the game. Meanwhile, the old characters had a different role and fate than from the main storyline in the official books. For that reason, it has no connections to the canon story materials of Overlord Light Novel series. The content that you had read here are based on the Overlord mobile game.

Chip (チップ ) or piece (枚) is a item from Mass for the Dead.

Description[]

A casino token used at the Great Tomb of Nazarick’s newest addition: Casino Resort Nazarick.[1]

During special events such as the "Rare Item Acquisition Day" special chips are released that can only be available during the venue. These chips can be used to be exchange the limited time items available in the prize display case. This was so that gamers would be motivated to play the casino games and not to rely on their stockpiled chips.[2]

Appearance[]

Chips are small coin-like tokens coming in various colors.

Abilities[]

Chips are used in lieu of currency at the casino. When at the casino, gamers can use chips to play by betting on their chips using them as the equivalent of human currency. All chips have various types equating to 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100.

Later the chips could be reimbursed at the casino to win certain valued prizes.[3]

Trivia[]

  • Chips actually make their appearance in Overlord: The Undead Oh! on one of the cover chapters.[4]
  • Since Nazarick had no established salaries for the NPCs it was decided by Momonga and Demiurge that a chip system would be used in the gambling hall.
  • Though the chips in the casino failed to help the NPCs have a true understanding on currency, resulting in a money lecture taught by Pandora's Actor.[5]
