Chilled Chocolate Confectionary (冷やしチョコ菓子) is a chocolate product created by the Sorcerer Kingdom in Mass for the Dead.
Description[]
After the economic success of Golden Chocolate In A Bottle developed by the Sorcerer Kingdom, the product was sold by Adventurer's Guild earning the guild many benefits. Despite chocolate being a relatively new fad, some customers voiced complaints of the boring products, desiring something new. The guild in response hoped to spark new product interest making "chilled chocolate" using the newly invented refrigerator.
Upon hearing the feedback, it spurned the Sorcerer Kingdom to reignite development for new chocolate products with a chilled theme. The one selected to be in charge of the task was Cocytus who was to be assisted by Narberal Gamma. Cocytus and Narberal conducts interviews with those who were involved in past chocolate making events and chocolate enthusiasts in E-Rantel. After a reenactment of the taste party was conducted, Cocytus achieved a brilliant idea.
Using information from Ashurbanipal about kakigōri, he used his swordsmanship to create shaved ice. Narberal using her past experience of making Crispy Delicious Bites used her experience in lightning magic to melt chocolate on the ice to create the new confection. After being introduced to the humans of E-Rantel, it was met with much fanfare by hard-core chocolate lovers. Though the amount was limited and price was great the price was well worth it by the patrons.[1]
Appearance[]
A form of shaved ice, in which the chocolate is cooled and harden through the use of [Electro Sphere], resulting in the ice melting and heat intertwined with the chocolate that melts like syrup, creating a dish with an exquisite texture.
Abilities[]
The confection can be described in three words: "fluffy, "crunchy," and "sakutoro.'' Each aspect of the dish was carefully planned by Cocytus. To do so he used pure ice found on the 5th Floor, that was shaved to tiny bits whist carving an ice statue of Momonga. The bits of ice made the ice just as fluffy and crunchy. As for "sakutoro'' liquid chocolate was added, for a new texture.
Narberal taking into account that humans were looking for a "numb" feeling, included her lightning magic to chocolate through [Electro Sphere]. Using past experience of her previous chocolate creation, to recreate the burnt sensation for the chocolate, while Cocytus and the 5th Floor minimized the intensity of the lightning.
When the [Electro Sphere] is popped, the melted chocolate will be absorbed into the shaved ice that Cocytus just produced.
Trivia[]
- The Sorcerer Kingdom transports the shaved ice to E-Rantel by using a secured freezer installed in a refrigerator.
- To avoid the flavor form being diluted by the ice, the Head Chef's added fresh cream and other ingredients to give it a better texture and taste.
- The sweet is similar to chocolate gelato.
- On May 1, 2024, a Chaos Relic, "Good Weather For Walking Around Town" (街歩き日和) was released depicting with Soi, Ku and Shall enjoying a stroll in E-Rantel eating the chocolate sweet.[2]
