After the Quagoa captured the fortress guarding the Great Rift, the dwarven garrison fell back to the gate leading to the Feo Jera. After sealing it, the Chief of Staff believed it would not be enough to keep the demi-humans out. The Chief believed it would be best to abandon the city. Both he and the Commander discussed how the Quagoa could have captured the fortress until one of their riders brought word of monsters on the surface at the entrance of Feo Jera.

The Chief and Commander confronted the monsters, which turned out to be Ainz Ooal Gown. He and his superior were brought to their knees after Ainz activated his staff giving him a frightening aura.[1]
