Biwa (琵琶) is an item from Mass for the Dead and one of the Seven Lucky God Key Items.

This item appeared as a drop item from a Kadomatsu Type Beast. The biwa was actually a item associated with the Seven Lucky Gods and a fragment of Shiramochi-ō's power.[1]

A short neck lute with four strings and is played with a large metal wedge-shaped plectrum called a bachi.

Momonga upon using [Appraisal Magic Item] was unable to find any credible information, an oddity as the spell usually discloses some information on an item's properties.

  • The biwa is a Japanese instrument used in narrative storytelling
  • The biwa is associated with Benzaiten, the Japanese goddess of music and arts.
  • It later reappeared in the Chaos Zone where the Takemikazuchi Shrine was located after Shiro and his friends cried out "Happy New Year."[2]
  • And re-appeared a third time in Nazarick after Momonga and Shiro experience the "first sunrise" of the New Year at the Azerlisia's First Sunrise.[3]
