Beastman Invasion is an ongoing war between the Dragon Kingdom and the Beastman Country.
Background[]
The Dragon Kingdom borders a nearby kingdom ruled by beastmen of the carnivorous variety. In the past, there have been small scale skirmishes against the Dragon Kingdom every year. To the beastmen the human kingdom was a food supply that they routinely harvest, leaving the kingdom alone to allow it to replenish it numbers. However in recent years, the beastmen have launched a large scale invasion with an intent for the complete destruction of the country. Once they destroy the Dragon Kingdom, the demi-humans intend to convert their surviving populace into livestock.
Faced with an external unrelenting enemy, the humans in the Dragon Kingdom banded together to resist to the end. However due to the difference in ability between beastmen and humans, the kingdom was at a disadvantage. Even when the adventurers of the kingdom joined to fight the enemy, they found the demi-humans tribes too numerous.
Other countries have also lent military aid to the Dragon Kingdom, as it serves as a border state from the New World's demi-human countries. Military aid of this caliber is not cheap, which the Dragon Kingdom is forced to pay secretly to the Sunlight Scripture to safeguard its people annually. Unfortunately, the relief forces that were supposed to assist them in the recent invasion never made came due to other obligations and other unforeseen circumstances. Without the military assistance, already three cities in the Dragon Kingdom have fallen into the beastmens' hands. In the end, the remaining humans began to gather at the capital of their nation in hopes to win through attrition by outlasting the invaders until they starve. In any case, the future for the people of the Dragon Kingdom is shrouded in darkness and bleak.[1]
Battles[]
So far it has been reported by the Slane Theocracy that the Dragon Kingdom has developed close diplomatic ties with the Sorcerer Kingdom. From this, the beleaguered nation at war has even purchased some terribly powerful undead from the Sorcerer Kingdom. Whether these undead have been deployed on the battlefield against the beastmen is unknown so far.
The Theocracy realizing that their influence with the Dragon Kingdom would diminish should it continue to rely on the Sorcerer Kingdom, decided as a preventive measure that they would send all the adventurers that came to the Theocracy for asylum to the Dragon Kingdom to have them fight against the beastmen.[2]
