Beast Tamer Experiment is an experiment performed by Aura Bella Fiora.
Objective[]
Beast Tamers could control monsters by making connections with them via their skills. However the job class had a limit on how many monsters could be control using the skills. If they reached their limit some monsters could be freed. In YGGDRASIL it was customary for monsters to be freed in order from oldest to newest, and tamers were not given the choice to choose and release magical beasts.
Aura whose abilities as a Beast Tamer could not grow any further, but wanting to increase her abilities and gain a power that was unique to the New World that was normally impossible in YGGDRASIL contrived this experiment.
Procedures[]
Aura conceived of the plan to raise her abilities though she required a monster that was fairly intelligent or with a certain degree of intelligence as she believed such qualities were more suited to training.
Though with an infant monster would be fine Aura believed such a method would take too much time. Even if using something that matured in a short time like a dog the dark elf doubted it would be useful for the training of magical beasts in that situation.
After meeting the Ankyloursus Lord in the Great Forest of Evasha with Fenn Aura believed that not only was the beast cute and a unique monster that was a boss of the area, but met her qualifications. She went on to capture it and dominate it using her superior strength.
Without the use of her skills as a Beast Tamer, she placed it under her control by using a whip to incapacitate it when it attempted to attack her and the Fenrir. To demonstrate her strength, Aura used the length of her whip to destroy a tree ever while giving the bear sweet and soft words. The Ankyloursus growing more frighten by the elf and the lack of fear she had of it, then came to the conclusion that Aura was dangerous and a kind of predator. It attempted to turn tail and run, but was caught by Aura who wrapped her whip around its hind legs and swung it around in circles before crashing down on the ground.
Aura a bit annoyed that it tried to run despite her ordering not to. Seeing it was causing her to make Ainz wait, Aura wondered perhaps she should kill it instead but was conflicted as it would be a waste. To escape her the bear tried to bite off the whip but to no avail. Aura then decided to show the bear that escape was impossible, and released her hold on its legs. The Ankyloursus Lord tried once more to run, but Aura used her whip to beat it into submission with Fenn pinning it down on the forest floor.
The beast finally seeing that it was just prey to Aura then submitted to the Floor Guardian out of fear it would soon be eaten.
Results[]
By the time Aura returned to the camp where Ainz Ooal Gown and Mare Bello Fiore were waiting with Green Secret House, Aura was seen riding on a terror soaked bear. Upon seeing the bear, despite it being a unique creature, Ainz was worried that she could be pushing the limits of her taming abilities dangerously, but was assured that she had not used any to put the bear under her control.
However Ainz was still concerned about bringing the bear to the 6th Floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He was not sure that the beast was fully under control and was worried about the safety of the Homunculus Maids and Plants on the Floor. In a compromise Aura promised to isolate the bear to the outside of the Nazarick to Fake Nazarick at least until it was fully under her control which satisfied Ainz.[1]
Trivia[]
- According to Ainz, he believed that using a level 1 monster would have been better to begin the experiment.
