Bear Trap is a tool found in the New World.

Description[]

This was not a trap designed to deal with human beings, but wild bears, which were mighty and tough creatures. The bear trap's purpose was to impede its targets, slowing the opposition down by forcing them to deal with a casualty (burden).

Appearance[]

It had the jaws and spikes of a crude metal trap.

Abilities[]

This bear trap is made of steel. Used by bandits, it is placed stealthily on the ground to not only trap and hampers their target's movement but create physical damage as well. Any prey who step on it will have their leg gripped and snapped shut by the device. It could easily shatter the ankles of any human, even one wearing greaves, who stepped into it. The bear trap has spikes that are used to hobble and pierce animals. This can painfully hurt the target's leg, making them suffer broken bones afterward.
